The black on tan/orange is excellent... I myself recently won some unopened skink archers in plastic. I cannot wait to open them.

Keep them sealed! This package will be worth millions when you manage to pass it to grandchildren! ;):p

    thanks !
I was about to finish the painting of 10 of them but a "life is a Bi... random event" happens. so i stopped.

But, that far, i've got 2 more finished, put the chief and the handlers in the bath and started the salamander.

By accident, one of them get his right foot toes off... i should fix that soon.

Here some news for this week.
Tomorow i got some spare time again, i wish to continue a bit.

Today i started with this :

And finish 10 skinks and the sally, rebased almost everything and basecoat the rest.
I also choose to put mu leader on a 32mm base just to give him some perspective with the rest of the army.
I'm not fully fan of the result on the sally, i should try pale skins on the monsters (steg, sally, rippers...).
One last question, How should i made my bases ?

And i found a Stegadon for my son.

This blog is the top level of awesomeness, @Iblitz !
I find your work beautiful: your minis are amazing, and I'm speaking about how good their color schemes are AND how incredibly well you have painted them!

I don't think you should modify the sally: yeah, maybe its black is not too different from the black of your skinks...
... but I honestly could never change a miniature painted so well.

I don't know about the bases, but I'd look for something white/colourful to contrast with your dark skin(k)s.
Maybe a little excessive seeing how many models you have.
And of course, you might not like it.

P.S. I love that Stegadon :joyful:

    Oh Thanks !
    That was not expected .

My color scheme is inspired by another blog from this forum, and his skill are far better than mine. I only got a tabletop level and i never try to go more. for tons of reasons. Ink does the job !

For my bases i was thinking of some lunar / light grey sand, from some moon, because now they live in space, i'll dig a bit more before setting something.

    Here some more !

You can barely see handlers, chief skinks and Javs !
14 minis to "almost" finish the first month.
I got some spare time and i don't know if i will have some more next week... or month.

I found a way to paint them in a row, but 14 skinks is quite too much for a session, i'll reduced to 6 or 8 next time.

    Here the complete 320pts

I love your paint scheme! It is very rare to see black lizardmen but damn they look good! :)
Also lovely 5th edition models. They do have a certain charm to them. Keep up the good work :)

These look fantastic! Love the scheme.

Reminds me of the samurai lizardmen from over at Warhead.

Please this time, try to forget the shitty luminosity, belgium is not known for that (maybe for some albinos blinded troglodyte painters...).
I'm not that proud of the schema or the final result, but it works. :D Maybe it's because of the too much dry brush i used.

As you know, My army will be without saurus.
But i need a Astrolight to guide my weapons.
So be it, i built one, from ancien artefacts...

I changed my mind from my original idea beacause of the lack of symetry of the magnetic doors. I try something more "Seraphonic" with a touch of monotheist symbolism.

Tau drones to help it levitate (because skink cannot hold that machine alone).

Added some anthenas and crown from drones ans stegadon parts.

Tha back is similar with some other drones parts.
To hold the holy ring, i use paperclip cut and bind to represent electric spark. It make it levitate.
I use a salamander crest a stabiliser since the glue dry.

I add 2 more paperclip spark for more stability.

I add a crew of 2 members, just to simbolise attacks, Wound and git it more life.

One of the crew is driving, while the other one try to protect him.

    And the final stuff.

I'm not convince about the console pod, i'll try to find smaller once.

What do you think of that ?

This is brilliant! I think the console looks perfect! The electric paperclips look amazing, as does the whole set up. Really cool idea.

I could see adding more 'priestly' or special bits to th skinks with it, but its still a fine conversion. Lovely really.
