Given that both of you clearly have been corrupted by chaos as established in seperate threads you two are the ones to be purged :p

I thank you for such a commendation. I see myself as only part of the Old Ones' Great Plan to wipe out the Vampire scum and the Hordes of Chaos.

Since when have I, the Hand of Chotec the Sun God himself, been corrupted by Chaos? Your suspicious nature sounds very much like that of the Skaven...

Didn't I tell you it was a joke? Just a joke? Just a harmless amusing joke? And after all, you asked if Pain and Panic got hurt badly

The road to corruption is paved with golden jokes!

(mmm... we're starting to talk too much like 40k inquisitors. I don't think it's a good sign.)

More lizard fun! :D The Carnosaur seems to be inspired by the raptors of Jurassic park, which of course I don't mind :D

I like how they kept the Carnosaur as the 8th Ed incarnation, which is more like a raptor than, say, a T-Rex like the previous models, because that was more of an obvious choice for the Carnosaur because T-Rex is more famous. You can see this by the size of the jaws and arms - T-Rex had tiny arms and massive jaws so this denoted that its hunting tactic was to lock its jaws around its prey's neck and savage it to death, whereas the raptors, like Velociraptor and Dienonychus, had the much longer arms and smaller jaws as seen on the 8th Ed and Total War Carnosaur, signifying its main hunting mechanism was to slash its prey with its long claws and only use its jaws to deliver the finishing blow. The 8th Ed model also has the flick-knife big toes that were so common among raptor dinosaurs as well, if you look closely at its feet.

Man, I am getting more and more excited about this. Especially since it may really boost Seraphon popularity and make GW consider doing more for us. :)

I do indeed really hope that they use the momentum of the game to add some stuff. I'd be amazed if the TW game wouldn't translate directly into more sales. And the races featured in this expansion are all rather underdeveloped in AoS.

That being said.. I have no idea if they actually will. They didn't seem to do anything to ride on the coattails of the initial game, so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't do anything this time around again.

That'be the frothing morrons who already played warhammer fantasy & saw a total war game and got interested. There's still the people who played earlier total war games & saw a fantasy one (but didn't necesarly played warhammer), people new to both franchises & generally people that aren't frothing idiots. Plenty of people to sell a few more models too ;)

I don't care if they get a desire to play AoS Seraphon, 8thEd Lizardmen, 9thAge Lizardmen, or just collect models to have them in their gamer lair's cupboard or whatever, the important thing is:
People craving to buy Lizardmen/Seraphon models made of plastic could make GW produce them, because GW wants money.
If they do it will be good for us Seraphon/Lizardmen players. :)

New info on the new features the game will have.

"I didn't write this, just copy pasted it".

The infos have yet to be confirmed through scanned pages but here it goes for what the dude has summarized so far:
PC Gamer played through a Quest Battle, Lizardmen against High Elves. They had to stop the elves from completing a ritual, either by defeating the Elves or killing two chariot-riding wizards.

The battle map features a narrow bridge which the Lizardmen have to fight across. Judging by the pictures it's the same as the map shown in the recent Lizardmen trailers.

The "Out of Control" feature came in to play a few times, and the player says it added an interesting tactical aspect.
Vampire Count and Human presence in Lustria confirmed!

"Ancient ruins can be explored for treasure, and will draw the attention of other armies"
The campaign map will feature "rogue armies: one-off armies made with no restrictions. Goblins herding dinosaurs!"
High Elves will have a new settlement type called a "Fortress Gate" (presumably the gates between outer and inner Ulthuan).

Meeting certain criteria on the campaign map will unlock faction-specific battleground abilities. If the High Elves properly fortify their Fortress Gates, it allows them to summon Eagles when defending. The lizardmen can "summon velociraptors from space" "like a Star Trek away team". The player in this battle had three charges of this ability on a long cooldown.

Sun Dragon confirmed for High Elves. Appears to be unmounted.

The player shoots down said dragon with lasers mounted on dinosaurs (Solar Engine Bastilodons), which he describes as "an extremely Warhammer moment".

Winning the Vortex campaign will require gathering certain resources. The article implies there will be several ways to collect these (it mentions questing, looting ruins and buildings as three sources)
You'll get a chance to resist being beaten suddenly in the Vortex campaign.

At the end they ask about Skaven: ""We will say that the list of races is yet to be... rat-ified", Roxburgh says, extremely pleased with himself"".
The game engine is the same but is updated with new rendering tech."

Extremely exciting so far, can't wait to learn more.
