    Greetings, ladies and gentlemen!

Today I proudly present my non-lizardmen thread, but I hope you'll still enjoy some of my painted dwarf, elf, undead, orc, goblin, etc. miniatures and stories that I have for you. :)

I hope you enjoyed that part! ;)

    P.S.
Should I post everything I have to show(off) about my dwarfs in the upcoming parts, or should I perhaps switch between different armies and races in each new addition? What would you, guys, like to see? :penguin:

Fantastic army and fluff to go with it! You got a big group shot too?

I would say posting each army one at a time would be easier, but no real preference. Looking forward to the rest!

It's a kind of extreme request (especially when it's from a guy who takes his pictures with a phone and didn't even managed to have a light box or a suitable background for his models...) but it would be really cool if you'd kind of create a kind of storytelling... introducing each army and later merging them in little comics like the one in the terrain challenge... that would be really cool...

Thank you very much. I am flattered, really. ) :angelic:
Yep, I do have several group shots of the entire army. My plan was to show them once I present all the units separately. )

That is indeed most likely easier that way than switching between different stories. After all the viewer/reader might lose interest or line of a particular story. :bookworm:

I guess that can be done. ) Thanks for the idea! I never really thought of merging different armies together. :)
And yes, I should get myself a proper camera with macro lens and perhaps print some background pictures. Alas no free cash for camera now..... Until I finally stop sharking eBay for deals for WFB miniatures.....

Dwarven phalanxes are indeed sensible. Striking colour scheme and neat paintjob over a whole army! It's a skill to mass-paint miniatures, one which I've never come close to mastering despite numerous attempts.

Thank you. ) :) Mantic Bulwarkers are a strange set: hard to assemple, relatively expensive, but the final result is very impressive. I think GW had some speardwarfs in earlier editions?

Come to think of it, the new AoS KO aboninations do have spears as well..... Hm, perhaps I should convert some of them into proper dwarfs. :writing:

Thanks, Admiral! :) I thought you might be interested in seafaring dwarfs. Mass painting is a must for me, though I would have wanted each of them to have more individuality for sure. However my appetite for new and bigger armies is insatiable, so more..... MORE! :woot:

I might even eventually get to abyssal dwarfs army. I do not really like Mantic one, so I shall have to look for alternatives..... Scibor, perhaps? :)

@The Penguin I see your point with the spears. I also am a big fan of those dwarf ranger models, I have always liked those. And the brock riders are cool, they remind me of the giant badger-warriors from the Redwall series (though those weren't mounts of course).

@The Penguin Certainly some 4th Edition Dwarf warriors had spears, and I agree - the Bulwarkers do look very good. In Lord of the Rings canon and GW game there are also Vault Wardens, dwarfs with massive tridents, alongside the (overpriced) Iron Hills Dwarves in the Hobbit. Aren't the Brock Riders still Slayers, even though they are on badgers?

Agreed! I have most of the books and the film made from the series! :) :joyful:

Thank you very much, Admiral! You are always a bottomless sourse of knowledge and inspiration. ) :)

Thanks a lot! I have never seen those before! )

I never thought of them from that angle, but now that you mentioned it, indeed, looks very much like those wonderful fluffy mutants. ) :)

Indeed, having antropomorphic army would be great..... Hm, come to think of that, I can't recall seeing many miniature ranges that can be converted to KoW. o_O

Yes, I just love Ironhill dwarfs. A shame the scale is so different. And buying them for those awesome shields and spears is just insane..... or is it?
Um, fluffwise, no, not exactly. ) De facto, yes. Slayers on badgers is something very cool. Again, I never really understood why dwarfs in GW never had proper cavalry. )

The scale isn't that different - 25mm as opposed to 28mm in KoW, Fantasy and AoS. However the Middle Earth Dwarves have longer legs and smaller heads compared to body size, which makes them look considerably different. I would love to get some, but they are ridiculously overpriced. Cheers for that, Forge World.

I think it was to make them a very unique and characterful army - a slow-moving, rock-hard force that was very difficult to budge. Also Warhammer Dwarfs always used to have very short legs for their body size, so it would be very difficult to get them on mounts without them slipping off during the battle ;). Nevertheless, they have started to change that image by giving the Fyreslayers the Magmadroth, which I think looks amazing and was certainly needed by the Dwarfs. Shame they didn't get round to it in fantasy...
