    Hey guys,

Im fairly new to AoS, although i played a lot of 40k, and love the seraphon idea of playstyle.
My favorite unit is the Saurus Guard but they get killed by any form of mortal wounds.
Can anyone give me some tips on list building, what to buy and if you can play guard armies?

    Thx

    Welcome!
Indeed mortal wounds are a bit of a problem. Guards still work well against many armies, especially in a Eternal Starhost.
If you have trouble with mortal wound dealers you can maybe snipe them using our new teleport ability, or using a Shadowstrike Starhost, or perhaps we get something else in the GHB2017 that prevents the mortal wound spam against us a bit. We don't know yet.

ive read the book in our local gamestore today and nothing new for mortal wounds. We did however get even more mobility. On a D6 we get to replace a uinit as if it was summoned. On a 1 it fails and on a 6 we can move after the transportation. All the batallions almost doubled in points tho.

Anyways i digress, how would you make a list consisting out of guards?

    Simplest way IMO:
    - Eternity Warden
    - 3x5 Guard
    - Skink Priest
    - Eternal Starhost

That's your core. The rest is optional and depends on your preferred play style and the mission I guess.

Eternity starhost was nerfed by points increase.

Not a good idea to strat with it untill our new codex is launch.

Slann is our staple core since massive buff on both allegiance and point reduce.Start with Slann and attach battalion that suit to your playstyle.

If you really want to use Guard I recomment to add luminark of hyse or Archmage or both to deal with mortal wound.

But that would mean to throw out all of our allegiance abilities.
IMO Eternal is still worth it, in fact look at it this way:
    - Eternal got 50 points more expensive
    - Starpriest and Priest (which I include with those lists quite often because I buff the Guards with them) got 20 points cheaper each.

My lists with Eternal Starhost all got cheaper than before. I wouldn't say it was "nerfed".
