Hello, I'm Croco Guard. I painted lizardmen back when I was a kid and 6th edition had just come out. I still hold a certain reverence for the older skinks and slann, but loved the new saurus look and bought all I could. All these models without any washes or drybrushing and layers upon layers of paint on my favorite folks, and I never played a proper match of warhammer outside of a close friends group. Now I have a job and (arguably) disposable income for fun stuff, so I've dug out my paint and figures after a long time away. After rebuying most of the paint, finding out all the brushes were now drybrushing quality only, and getting some Super Clean, I'm ready to properly get back into the hobby. I've read through plenty of the forums over the years and thought I'd finally post and ask some questions as I learn to paint properly this time. I like the video game interpretations of blood bowl and total warhammer 2. Hoping we get new blood bowl figures so I can buy football lizards or make them myself. I'm now outfitted with brushes, brush cleaner, info on washes and drybrushing basics and I have a start collecting box I've been poking at for a few months. Thank you all for being a good resource for my favorite army.

Welcome to the forums. I took briefly picked up the hobby as a teenager and picked it up again as an adult years. Whatever form of game, Blood Bowl, classic Warhammer, Age of Sigmar, Kings of War, 9th Age, we are happy to provide advice. I think you also have to be looking at a mirror in the dark. But you are certainly welcome to visit the painting forum regardless of whether your mystic ritual worked. It's a good place to go for constructive criticism or inspiration.
