Aren't the vast majority of em still apparitions, the only true exceptions being sunbloods? If the slann can remember them into existence I'm sure they can remember them going around their "daily lives" as well.

As for a slann's own interpretation, given how conservative and slow moving they tend to be I'd find it unlikely for any of them to really tinker with seraphon. Some might remember them being a bit stronger, or weaker that much is true. But I doubt they'l give them regrowing limbs or some such without immeadiatly being murdered by the first slann that finds out and deems it corrupted by chaos... Though they might make completly new stuff I suppose, if you can summon armies out of thin air why not make gollemns or summon other great beast, or just imagine something. I just find it unlikely to really be "lizardmen" in that case.

Poor misguided young one. The key word in my statement was "Seraphon". I can happily promote the Lizardmen, but I stand by my original statement in regards to AoS and the Seraphon.

I have come to understand that I must let my underlings choose their own path and learn from their own mistakes rather than to simply lay the correct path out before them. So let them engage in their AoS, and maybe, just maybe, the strongest and most capable of the group will find something better (WFB).

    :D

I think the truth is somewhere in between.
They can just remember them into existence for a short time but they can also do it in a persistent way so there are actual Seraphon populations building a society in Azyr. Thats how I understand it at least.

    Sigh, you're no fun :p

That was basicly what I meant. Hence the population is still mostly just the "remembered" ones (apart from the sunbloods which were survivors that tranceded in some way). The general population is just remembered by the slann for the same reason they remember the soldiers, they're usefull.

Unless the slann have also deemd it necesary to remember spawning pools. At which point we now have a fresh batch of seraphon/lizardmen of proper "flesh" and "blood".

I prefer the spawning pool variant. By a long margin.

Have slann ever been able to create new spawning pools? Cuz it would be logical to eventually make em, conjuring them up from thin air might be easy but also requires the slann to maintain them somehow. if they're properly of flesh and blood again they can sustain themselfs and the slann is free to do more important stuff. So yeah, if the slanns are capable of it I would say they'd have new spawning pools by now and combine these with summoned troops. Though I'd expect em to not use the normal ones for combat unless absolutly forced to. No reason to suffer losses if you can just make your enemy fire all his ammunition at imaginary soldiers :p

I second this: I'm sorry too! :bag:

... but have you chosen what box will you choose in the end?
    Space dinosaurs or steampunk dwarves?

Consider it along the lines of a powerful emotion, in this case a very powerful positive emotion.

I have to agree with my fellow Slann, @n810 . I too regret nothing!

Here you've got me. I like both the Lizardmen and the Kharadron Overlords, although in AoS I'm a Fyreslayers man myself (Dwarfs riding big lava dragons? Yes please!). Generally though, there are many ways in which you can choose between 2 armies:
    1. Style of Gameplay. KO is a primarily ranged army that can get badly mauled in close combat, while Lizardmen are an all rounder force. Choose the army you prefer the play style of and also choose the army with the play style that is easier for you. Can you restrain yourself from charging your ranged troops into combat, for example? (I can't when the game is going badly) if you can, choose KO because they have so many more ranged units. If you can't, choose Lizardmen because they have more melee units and are more likely to survive a melee (except skinks).
    2. The Lore. Have a little brush up on your AoS lore about the two factions, and choose the faction whose Lore you like the best.
    3. Painting. KO and Lizardmen are like chalk and cheese in their painting schemes. If you prefer painting armour, machinery and clothing, choose KO. If you prefer painting scales, horns and teeth, choose Lizardmen.
    4. The models themselves. Both factions have badass models, but which kind of badass would you rather have? Imagine how the armies would fight in your mind, and see which looks the most epic in your imagination. Would you prefer to have a disciplined, cold-blooded army relentlessly slaughtering the minions of Chaos in melee with huge reptilian monsters tearing apart Sylvaneth abominations, or would you rather prefer an army of Dwarfs in diving suits descending majestically from the sky and blasting the foe on all sides before leaping from their vessels to finish the job?

If you're a new player, I would recommend Lizardmen. Lizardmen, even in AoS, are an all-rounder army that can afford to make mistakes and pull out of them and get back into the fight with gusto. They are also more customisable - you could choose a big ranged army with hordes of expendable Skinks, an elite melee army with tough as nails Saurus warriors or a mixture of both to get the best of both worlds, with giant monsters aplenty giving you a boost in both fields. As I say about KO, if they can stay out of combat, they're laughing, but if they're against a melee army that catches up with them, they will suffer. Badly. They only have two melee units and a couple of melee characters, making them more specialised in ranged tactics. I would say go for Lizardmen as your first army, as they would be more forgiving of mistakes in your first games. Maybe if you want, you could get KO afterwards, perhaps as allies to give some more ranged power, but to start with, I would say go Lizardmen.

    Hope this helps...

I like some aspects of the KO aesthetics, but I am still too stuck in my D&D and Tolkien influenced picture of Dwarfs as mine-dwellers that for me dwarfs and flying just doesn't fit together all that well. KO fill the spot of Gnomes in D&D with the steampunk and flying stuff.

Mhwa, they look dwarfy enough. and inverting the trope by sending them high up still works (they're far away from normal people regardless) So it's not too bad I suppose.

Yea.. SCE are even less Majestic with their even more massive amounts of armor... at least the dracoths look good.

    ...or maybe not actually.
My personal opinion is that while it has some great details its body proportions and pose are a bit weird. IMO it looks more like a rat than a lizard.
Actually I think it is one if the worst looking Forgeworld models, for example compared to the Magma Dragon or the Dread Maw or the Rogue Idol.
