Hello guys! Although I have had an account since 2017 I haven't had time to make an introduction.
Ever since I first started warhammer I have liked lizardmen, (although I started a Brettonian force they stopped doing them so....)
and I picked up the seraphon start collecting! Box set (I will be playing warhammer 8th)and have been painting it straight away (while interning golden demon youngbloods). So that's me, should I start a page on the painting and converting with my stuff on so you guys can see?

Good to hear. Happy that another WFB 8th edition player has joined our ranks! :)

    Welcome to the forums!

We accept all types of LIzard players here. I myself prefer 8th but I have to adapt to what the locals are playing.

I do not recall any Albion fluff stuff off the top of my head, but if you posted a thread with the question in the fluff forum, which is generally well-trafficked, you would probably get some reasonable answers fairly quickly.

Greetings! Welcome to this most noble of forums! Brilliant to see another 8th player alongside @NIGHTBRINGER and me. As an amateur Celtic historian Albion is right up my street! Interesting that you want to do a Lizardmen army themed around it, would love to see the results. I’ve been working on an unofficial Albion army book in the Great Library I have established here, but I haven’t finished it yet. I’ll let all know when it is complete and available on the library thread.

Well i have recently just been painting the lizardmen normally to see what they are like, but I may try stuff like celtic symbols on my skinks and kroxigor if anyone has any good ideas for paint schemes it would be much appreciated. I've already started my sarus blue but I was planning on doing my skinks different.
Could you point me in the direction of some albion lore? I saw in the 8th edition book on the map that it says "to albion, Zarmunda" and is this a temple city?

Well for Celtic symbols I would recommend any sort of really bright blue to represent woad war paint. The Celts would paint woad upon themselves in any combination of curves and swirls, as the Celts favoured any sort of natural aesthetic like that.

Also, a word of advice - I wouldn’t trust Matthia Eliasson’s version of the book - it isn’t nearly Celtic enough, too much Scottish stuff in (the Scottish are a mixture of Picts and Irish, not Ancient British Celts at all). I’m writing my own version which I will post upon my unofficial army book thread, ‘The Great Library’ once it is finished.
