Going through my box of terrain leaves, foliage, and leftover bits and I found these little gems: They are totem poles I made back in high school! They are a bit too large for wargaming purposes though, so I am thinking I may re-purpose the one missing a wing and a nose to use for another project Spoiler: totem poles size Edit: I cannibalized one of these two for a new project... Probably not, never done a commission before, and most of my interests have been Mayan/Medieval Japanese recently. I liked the idea of Tomb Kings and the whole Egyptian aesthetic of the army, though I never was interested in branching out that direction. Then again if they had a Mayan/Tomb Kings crossover... but then again I wouldn't be able to go that route unless I really learned how to use green stuff
There are moeeways to hobby, warden. You could write stories about a nehekharan Outpost in South Western lustrian deserts, mixing in mayan influence, thrn draw your characters
Man! Loved your mayan styled draws! An also the other stuff! I was thinking in the same idea many weeks ago! You art is amazing and really captured the Mayan´s codex essence. Have you thought in making an colorful version with brush and paints? Best wishes
Thanks! I am a big fan of Mayan art I have done a couple of Mayan murals/pieces of artwork in the terrain collection I am slowly growing. Most of the pictures are in my Lizardmen army blog, but these are my favorites: Tuloom Temple mural on the inside (WIP pic): Chicanna House of the Serpent Mouth: Interior: Xochicalco Platform which I just finished: Future plans include some murals from Bonampak eventually
Ok, i can´t find more words to admire all this work. Congratulations again, i almost can feel myself into the deep jungle discovering secret and forgotten temples. I will be folowing your work master!
Thanks @Paradoxical Pacifism; logged in today and had 99 alerts... thanks for the likes, hope you liked the artwork!
Finished my Mayan Stela project, definitely one of the most fun art/terrain pieces I have done in a while. Also did a decoration project: a bunch of country flags, organized by time zone! This is to help celebrate New Years this year. Pictured here at an earlier stage in the production along with my assistant: As I live in the Eastern US, a lot of other countries in the world will have reached New Years before it hits me, so we have a lot of country flags to do! I won't be making all of them, but I have a few Asian and Caribbean countries to do before I am finished (ran out of red construction paper, so its on hold for now). I made sure to hit most of the countries that my wife and I have heritage from, as well as a smattering from each region. If I have missed any homelands from anyone on the forum let me know and I will add it!
It's totally no big deal, but can you do Jamaica and Finland? (My mom is from the former, and it turns out i have 3% Finnish ) I really like all of the other country flags - they're all accurate and very vivid! well, except for the US not having fifty stars, but oh wel
