I happen to enjoy my spray primers though. Hmmm. I'll look into it

Sure, I'll jump in on this too! (Especially since I run this same thing over on EEFL.)

Here's what I got for this month:
    Finish a Miner unit filler.
    Assemble and paint 10 Irondrakes
    Paint 2 Ogre Hunters
    Paint 2 Sabretusks
    1 Stonehorn and Rider
    Assemble 1 Thundertusk
Anything else that strikes my fancy.

I love these things. Super-fun seeing all the assembled work! (Well, through their links at least.)

Ah free forums. Like invisionfree, but noticeably worse

I wasn't bashing the content. I was speaking to the ui/layout

I didn't mean to imply that. The layout is noticeably dated... like many Warhammer forums to be honest. We are spoiled here.

    Back on topic...

I've been distracted from my Deceiver with other hobby works. Fixed the wings of my Galrauch and started up finishing touches on a bunch of Chaos Warhounds that I've had laying around in a half-completed state.

It's not the layout that makes a forum, it's the community. That's one reason I like it there as well as here. These are the two forums that I frequent for that very reason. The site could certainly use some sprucing up, but not everyone is capable of making things look as nice as here.

I'm aware. I used to admin a invision-based forum. We had a great community and that is why I stuck around, until politics broke up the community base.

    Anyway, on topic.

I've had an epiphany on how to best organize my current to do pile to maximize output and minimize clutter.

Longer explanation when I'm off work

The first bullet point in this thread talks about pinning his wings. I glued them in place first, without any pins.

I have drilled some holes for pins through from the top...paperclip is testing the depth.

    :sorry:
Trying to work out how to get a pin in there that will be flush with the surface.

    Put it in, snip, file.

Where in this sequence do I apply the cyanoacrylate adhesive?

How do I file without damaging the intricate detail along the top edge of the wing?

Can you recommend a snipper that will cut a steel pin flush with a soft plastic surface without damaging the latter?

    You drill the holes.

You apply super glue to the hole

    Push pin in.

Cut as flush as possible. Make several cuts of needed. I recommend diagonal flush cutters.

Unfortunately because the wings are pre attached, you may have to accept a small amount for of damage.

My probably impossible hope is to field fully painted armies in each week of my local GW shop's Spring AoS Escalation League (500 points starting the weekend of Friday, April 13th, then 1000 the next week, then 1500, then 2000). I've begun my 500 point list and completed a Razordon, a Salamander, a Saurus Eternity Warden, and five Skinks. Yesterday I started on a unit of five Saurus Guard and will need to do twenty-five more Skinks over the next week. I'm fairly confident I'll get those done before time, and be able to start on my 1000 point list (a Heavenswatch Starhost with a Skink Starpriest and Troglodon, two units of ten Skinks, Terradons, and a Hunting Pack with a Razordon). My Skink Starseer is still in the box, as are my Terradon Riders, but the rest of the needed models are built and primed. I'm spending three or four hours a day on painting right now--but I'm still SO SLOOOOW at it! Anyway, I'll report back mid-month! Good luck everybody!

Drill the hole, push in the wire then apply a bit of tape flush with the model, take out the wire snip it about 2mm below the tape.

Apply glue in the hole, push in the wire then greenstuff the hole.
