Hello, I am a returning hobbyist, having collected warhammer models off and on most of my life. I have, sadly, never played the game, but have an interest in modeling/painting the minis, along with the lore. I am hoping that joining this community will help me stay motivated to paint through my models, and also teach me new tips and tricks. I am currently working through a 'start collecting seraphon' box, as well as stripping some of my older stuff. Thanks!

Hello. Interesting take on the hobby... speaking about old models, do you have something else other than Seraphon/lizardmen?
Greetings and welcome - glad you’re finally getting started on the gaming front, I feel that’s what Warhammer’s all about! I’ve a tip for you - if you want to get the most out of your SC box, have a look at my good friend @Crowsfoot s thread on it - It’s a really useful guide on giving you a large number of units and characters for an affordable price!
I have a decent amount of orcs 'n goblins. A small bit of dwarves, space marines, orks, and some models of various other armies/bits by themselves. Growing up I had older brothers (and some of their friends) who were into the hobby, so I've gotten a lot of random models/bits secondhand. With that said, lizardmen were always my personal favorite. Its been about ten years or so since I've been seriously painting these guys, and WOW I'm amazed at how nice the sculpts on newer models are.
Welcome to the jungle. I look forward to your painting blog, and your commentary on my own. Furthet, I hope to see you enter in one of my contests. The current idea of Sotek is in the voting stage.pop on by and vote for your favorite entry!
Welcome to the forums! We have many full time painters here, and we are happy to provide constructive criticism for your painting. If you decide you want to play games, we can provide tips on that too.
