Well, I certainly won't watch some stuff filmed in a cinema.
I just don't have time to go to the movies right now so the Blu-ray will have to do.

How can you not have time to watch a single movie?! Time to re-evaluate priorities!

    Simple as that:
    - cinema is not worth my time. Expensive and full of annoying people.
    - going to the cinema alone still sucks, especially as my wife would like to come along. But organizing babysitters sucks. Right now my children just don't want to be anywhere except near their mother
    - I just have to wait a few months. Totally worth it because then I can watch it at home.
    - I like Marvel movies, but not THAT much. The only thing making me go to the cinema these days are Star Wars movies. Although I admit I almost went watching Tomb Raider.

Just in comparison: I watched Doctor Strange for the first time yesterday.

I'm lucky that there is a really good theater near me that typically doesn't have any annoying people. It also helps that I watch most big movies right on release day, so the theater is packed with real fans.

The wife and I don't have any children, so that definitely makes things a lot easier for us!

A movie like this was designed for the BIG screen!

It easily beats any of the new Star Wars movies.

I never really understood what that is supposed to mean. All the same for me. If I want the screen bigger I just move closer.

Oh this is not about quality, it is mainly about wanting to know what happens and avoiding spoilers. Star Wars is too huge for that.

You just can't beat a good quality theater. Big screen & big sound. It just has a different feel to it.
And you don't think that Infinity Wars will be spoiled? At this point it is much larger than any of the recent Star Wars movies.

Maybe. But I don't care enough about it to be bothered by spoilers. If it is as good as you say it will not rely on surprises to make an impression.

Edit: oh and sound is what I hate most about cinemas. I have very good ears so they are just too loud. In fact I carry ear protection with me when I go because it sucks so much. No thanks.
I have a good enough surround system in my living room. And even then... meh. Not much of an audiophile here. I appreciate good sound but the surround thing is something my wife wanted. I can live very well without it.

Yeah... but there is nothing like watching it for the very first time spoiler free.

Yep. That's why I avoid spoilers if I care about a movie.

I am similarly fortunate when it comes to going to the pictures.

I’m very sceptical about the idea of a Marvel film beating Rogue One. Rogue One was amazing. Full stop.

Superhero films generally don’t fire my imagination in the way Star Wars, Star Trek and Middle Earth films do. The only exception

Similarly to @Aginor, the only films that actively drive me to watch them at the cinema at the moment are Star Wars and Star Trek films, now that the Middle Earth films have finished.

I am the exact opposite. Beating Rogue One isn't too hard in my book.
I didn't dislike the movie but for me it wasn't particularly good either. In fact even Star Wars VII gripped me more than Rogue One.

I feel the exact same way. While I like Rogue One, it has it's own share of problems. For instance I find that movie suffers from a lack of character development and likableness (likableness being subjective of course).

Oh you are incorrect my friend. Time will prove me wise.

    And on a similar note...
