Indeed... as a pole weapon is usually only fix on one end and the other end can absorb the force of a kstrike by simply moving, I think the only way to surly cut/break it is a straight strike from above blocked by the pole held up with both hands at either side of the contract point...
Since you have been documenting your approach to 5000, I thought you would appreciate it. What is with this anti-NIGHTBRINGER campaign of yours? Hero is a point of view. A villain to one group is a hero to another. LOL Winning is winning. The brave are always the first to die. I agree with @Canas . Cutting through the shaft of a proper spear is not nearly as easy as it is made out in movies/tv.
It has been night long enough, we should bring the day, an advent of a glorious new era See, even you agree with me on this
Have you ever attempted cutting through a spear haft with a sword? You have to hit it straight on, and with the correct portion of your blade. Not to mention the type of wood
Fair point. At least they die with honour though, and as long as there are scribes to write down the accounts of their deeds, they will have some form of immortality.
Ah, OK sorry. I thought you mean AoS not KoW. I certainly like the look of the Empire of Dust range for KoW.
They are certainly usable and very fun to paint. I still have some to work on. My problem is that no one makes a decent skeleton model with no clothes anymore. All of them have some form of deteriorated clothing which makes them much more complicated to paint rather than just Bay skeletons with maybe a little bit of armor and their weapons and shield
Yup. Don't get me wrong it depends on the wood too. If you make a spear haft out of wood grown for lumber, it's going to be less dense and easier cut then natural forest wood (16-18 growth rings as opposed to 65)
Yes.... but it is the victor that usually ends up writing history. The conquered and defeated rarely have a voice to last across the ages. The victorious pass on the recounts of the events and they do so from their own (biased) frame of reference.
