It could be that there's a list of "standard" spells in the new core rules, including the two we're familiar with, and that each Wizard gets access to two of that pool. And that this particular Wizard just happens to have the two old ones as his picks. I suppose, anyway.

First of all it’s a her, despite the short hair. Haven’t you noticed?

Also I would much rather see lores return for all factions. Generic spells are just so unthematic.

Wow that gal is strong. Curious about her point value. I'd say 200 would be OK.

Oops, yes, that's an oversight on my part. I haven't actually looked at the Stormcast models closely, but should have.

I'm not really familiar with "lores." But anything that makes magic more unique to each faction would be great in my view.

She also has the equivalent of one of our Artefacts, the Light of Dracothion, built in as an ability.

This is certainly a very powerful unit, but I'm going to hold off on worrying about power creep until we see points values. Hopefully this Wizard will be appropriately pointed somewhere north of 200.

At least those flasks hurt friend and foe.. So unless SCE now also get disturbing amounts of selfhealing there's at least something resembling a trade-off there.

it'd be nice for the basic spells to also allow for some choice. It'd make bringing multiple of the same wizards valuable, they can serve as a backup for the main spell, but since they actually can now all know slightly different spells you also don't end up with the awkward situation of running out of spells. Not to mention the current impossibility of fielding 2 slanns. They don't know vaguely enough spells to actually use up their spellslots in that case...

Also it gives the option of picking all those basic spells to be defensive (or offensive) and thus actualyl get a strategy going with buffing with several spells. Instead of being forced to only have the 1 defensive and the 1 offensive spell andthen having to make due with the special spells.

Plus, opening all spell lores to everyone (or at least to multiple factions) could make things a lot more interesting not to mention that it's a terribly easy way to do it.

And it’s not just good for painting Nighthaunt - it would also look great on Warriors of the Dead from Lord of the Rings!

And on a side note, as part of my own invented Bood in the Badlands siege equipment for Lizardmen, one of the defender items was a ‘Burial tower’ that had the ability to produce Tomb Warriors - Ethereal Saurus that had been dead and interred in the tower for years but had resurrected when their city was in its greatest need of them. It was inspired by a unit in Dragonshard that appeared in some of the missions for the Lizardfolk.

I heard an interesting rumor about summoning:
In AoS2 summoning might not cost reinforcement points anymore, but spend "magic points" or something like that, which can be generated in some way.

I dunno about that, sounds like it'd basically be "here, have X amount more points per match" rather than anything else.

The way I heard it the points will be generated by using spells or something.
Nothing too specific though, it is only a rumour after all.

I think the new edition has mucg potential. And I personally also think gw will address some things to increase the gaming experience and balancing.
Probably they will add something similar to command points like in 40k. I think this will massively add fluff to the different playstyles of the different factions.
I'd also welcome the fact, that engaged units can't shoot. Like in reality, if someone stabs at you with a sword you'll probably not be able to shoot at another enemy. Expect you're Legolas, a monster (basti,...) or use a command point.
I'd also welcome the opportunity, that there's a pool of commonly known spells to all factions, and, additionally, each faction gets it's own unique lore.
And, finally, a los system like waho. If you can draw a line from your base to the enemy's, you see it and you can shoot it.

That's another rumour I heard. Definitely a possibility.

About shooting I think it might be "If you shoot you have to shoot the unit you are in melee with" (and then maybe not fight in melee instead) or "you cannot shoot at all if in melee"

More than a rumour, it was literally in their announcement.

    Ah, right, thanks!
That's where I got it from, I just mixed it with the rumours.

The things that I heard most often, from the top of my head:

    - Shooting works like 40k pistols? Which (IIRC) means that you can shoot, but only the unit you are in melee with
    - Summoning will be changed, possibly using some "magic points" created by casting spells, or command points instead of reinforcement points
    - Artefacts might not be dependent from bataillons anymore
    - Magic will receive a buff, but there will be some sort of bonus for armies that don't have magic (like Khorne) or are weak with magic.
    - Charging like 40K, which probably means charging units go first. That would help armies like Ironjawz or Beastclaw Raiders a lot, but might create some problems with strong deepstrikes becoming even more effective
    - No abilities anymore that cause mortal wounds with no means of failing at all (things not requiring a roll like Starsoul Maces, a Celestant Prime's Comet Scepter etc.)
    - double turn abolished/changed in some other way
