It's been nearly 20 years since I've painted and played fantasy warhammer / AOS. But I'm note getting stuck into it again.
Here's a few ive started on..

1st up is my saurus knight alpha

Now I've started on my carnosaur and a kit bashed Scar-Vet on a cold one..both of which arent quite finished

And my Carnosaur . I went for a more natural look rather than a color scheme for him. And i gave him a bit of drooling blood on teeth and claws to dinish him off..

Great start! It's hard picking up the brush again after long breaks. My one suggestion would be thinning your paints and washes with a little water.

Also, something new to try is washing your metal with different colors. Gold/Bronzes are fun to wash. You can use all types of washes to get interesting shades on gold/bronze. Purple, flesh, brown and sepia washes all work and give cool effects.

Good work mate. Keep it up.

Cheers guys. Yeah Joshua i do water down my paints the gold unfortunately is still a little thick. I'm using my old citadel paints which are also 20 years old the gold didnt hold up that well even watered down. But ill definately try it with another color cheers

lol indeed you do.. i had about 40 paints left from approx 20 years ago.. i opened them up recently when i started painting, and all but about 12 were still in perfect order...i also find that they are a much better paint than what they offer now

Mine were nearly all dry when I tried them after a similar long time... but that's maybe because I didn't bother cleaning the screw caps before putting them away... some pots I could hardly open when getting back after 15 years or so... some of them were still of pasty consistency anyway...

Yeah the ones i had dry up had holes or small splits in the lids or i didnt pop the lid properly. But as a rule of thumb if im not planning on painting for more than a week i clean all the pot lids before putting away. Just too expensive to not lol

Great looking skinks; I like the spots and how you have given the "squad leaders" some different coloration!
