    Hi all,

I just wondered if anyone can help with the colours and technique used to create the below effect on the Carnosaur. I love scheme and would like to replicate it, however I'm still quite new to this!

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Which parts of the Carnosaur do you mean?
also: the lighting creates reflections that make it hard to judge the colors. Do you have more pics of it from other perspectives?

I don't have more pictures unfortunately, I found this image online.

I'm looking for the colour scheme of the Carnosaurs scales, the red into orange/brown into skin.

Ok here is my take on it:

The skin looks like some bone color, shaded with brown shade or flesh shade.

The scales look like there was a reddish brown (such as GW Mournfang Brown) used as a base, and then a thin coat of dark red painted over it.Then shaded with a sepia shade maybe, drybrushed orange to highlight.

The big grey scales are very likely middle grey, shaded black, drybrushed light grey. That is my standard paint recipe for stone and it looks very similar to what we see there. I used it on my own Carnosaur as well.
