    Hello all,

I have a few buddies who want to play a big 4000 point game. It will be two teams of two, each person brings a 2k list. I'm rocking Seraphon, my Ally will be SCE. We are running against Ironjaws and Nagash. I've whopped the Ironjaws player a few times so Im not too worried about him. Ive never played Nagash, and I was wondering what tips/tricks/advice you'd recommend.icurrently run a summoning engine list, and tend to flood the fed with Skinks. I know the nagashayerhas a preference for 40 man skele blobs.

    Thoughts?

I would run Shadowstrike Starhost. The SCE player could run a few Dracothions to deep strike and aid your alpha strike with their breath attacks. You should be able to pick off Nagash pretty handily between the two of you.

How are you guys running the turn sequence? And are you using any of the team play rules?

    Best of luck!

Have your SCE friend bring a bunch of balista's. Summon a crapton of skinks in front of em. Laugh as nagash gets bombared into oblivion while trying to cut down more skinks than he has skeletons.

In all seriousness though, you have absolute ranged superiourity, abuse it. Use your slann to lock down his magic as much as possible. And use your summoned fodder to slow down whatever scary blob of melee nonsense either Nagash or the Ironjawz may throw at you while you blow them to pieces.

You will have to be extremely lucky to win the magic rolls vs Nagash's +3 to casting. If you want to unbind his stuff then have multiple SCE Knight-Incators on the table. Use their auto unbinds in turn two and three for the greatest effect.

Otherwise just shoot things. You won't win combat with a MaxSU Spear-Skele unit. They are about the strongest thing in the game for their points. Try to leave his summon-able units at 10 or fewer models instead of finishing them off (unless you have already killed his general).

@Canas that is pretty much what happened, but I brought the firepower. My friend who plays SCE likes to have a durable Frontline. I brought a thunderquake, slann, starpriest, astrolith bearer, and sixty Skinks in units of 20. Ironjaws had two brute units, 2 goregrunta units, an ardboy unit, warchanter, wierdnob shaman, megaboss, and gordrakk.

Nagash had a bunch of little skeletonnes and chainrasps, and a couple harbingers. They elected to have us go first. I threwy skils forwards as a speed bump. The SCE held the line once the Skinks were brutalized. The thunderquake shot up nagash, and by the end of battle round 3, both sides still had their own objectives, but we had tabled the Ironjaws, and killed nagash. They had killed a few SCE, my Skinks, and we had more points, so we won. Holla!

I keep forgetting Nagash is stupid and basicly the reason magic can't be fleshed out much more than it currently is... seriously curious who thought a +3 bonus and 9 spellcasts per turn were ever going to be balanced in a game where +1 is a good bonus and 3 spellcasts is a lot...

Yeah, and even if Nagash is so costly, that doesn't help.
If you have enough points to bring Nagash, then the game it's unbalanced... it would have been much more better a cheaper model, but not so stupidly powerful.

Yeah I honestly feel that making Nagash magically as powerful as Kroak would have sufficed.
