It is so BWUAAH! that we dont have acces to regen...

We are gene-manipulated war machines, with reptile as base DNA for crying out loud!
Lizards and amphibians regenerate limbs in the real world, how the _ _ _ _ has that not carried over?

Beast of Nurgle have BOTH a regen and a wardsave -.-

Hunting packs would get crazy good.
Suddenly their handler save would get regen saves.

Wouldn't be too far of. The Hellfire cannon have dwars who have heavy armour, right?

Remember that in the case of monsters and handlers, your opponent must hit and wound the monster... then you can attempt any saves the monster has... and finally you roll to see if it is the monster or the handler who takes the wound. If the handler takes the wound, you wouldn't get an additional regen save.

Next edition would bring back Always Strike First on the Charge.
So Kroxigor would be the awesome option they should. Current rules just downside them.

Kroxigor are balanced. Their problem comes from the 8th rules.

That depends on how the charging ASF would work. If charging grants you the ASF rule (as it exists currently), then it makes very little difference for us since Kroxigor have ASL. So the two rules would neutralize each other and we would get to hit on initiative1. :shifty: Now if charging were to grant the ability to strike before your opponents regardless of GW ASL (as it used to be in 7th edition) then it would be a VERY big improvement for Kroxigor.

Either way, I still think we're too far out to truly trust the reliability of such specific rumours. Time will tell.

They're spawn-kin with skinks, yeah? Why not allow them to be skirmishers, give them extra mobility, helps make them an interesting hammer.

    Thread Necromancy

Nightbringer came very close to the truth but he didn't quite make it there. The other armies' monstrous infantry are intended to fight enemy infantry or in the case of trolls, to take on enemy cavalry.

Kroxigor will never be able to compete with ogres at being ogres (which means devestating charges aganst infantry). Kroxigor will never be able to compete with Crypt Horrors at being Crypt Horrors (which means being an anvil)

Kroxigor have one niche and that niche is taking down big monsters.

Sadly cannons are better than Kroxigor at this role, but we dont have cannons.

That said, I wouldn't mind if Kroxigor could take standard bearers and musicians. It's on my list of model conversions I'm probably never getting around to. The "musician" would be a Skink riding a Kroxigor's shoulders barking orders. I certainly wouldn't mind +1 CR.

The standard bearer would either be a standard tied to his back or a weapon with a bunch of bangles and decorations ala Dumbo's magic feather.

How did I come close but not quite make it there? You quoted me saying that there are many great Lizardmen Monsters the Krox would excel against and then you go on to conclude that Kroxigors fill the niche of taking out monsters. That's what I said.

You only mentioned it in the context of LM vs LM and didn't extrapolate.

The general consensus seemed to still be that Kroxigor were underpowered.
