New AoS player here and I have put together a 1000pt army based on the two start collecting boxes I have. Where do I go from here to get to 2000 points? What do you all recommend? All help is appreciated, I would love to get started in some local games and have fun.

I prefer not to push 100 little guys around the board and I’m considering the big forge world model just so I can have an army of big boys.

    Here is my list.

    Army Faction: Seraphon
    - Army Type: Coalesced
    - Army Subfaction: Thunder Lizard

    LEADER

    Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (215)*
    - General
    - Command Traits: Prime Warbeast
    - Artefacts: Amulet of Destiny

    Skink Priest (80)*
    - Prayers: Heal

    Skink Starpriest (130)*
    - Artefacts: Fusil of Conflagration
    - Spells: Hand of Glory

    BATTLELINE

    Saurus Knights (110)*
    - Celestite Warspear and Powerful Jaws

    Saurus Knights (110)*
    - Celestite Warspear and Powerful Jaws

    Saurus Warriors (105)*
    - Celestite Club and Powerful Jaws

    BEHEMOTH

    Bastiladon with Solar Engine (250)

    CORE BATTALIONS:

    *Warlord

    TOTAL POINTS: (1000/1000)

in reserve I already have 2 Stegadons, 3 Kroxigor, 20 skinks, 3 terradon riders and the malign sorcery pack.

Hi there! Welcome to the jungle/space temple

I would absolutely recommend a Slann, they are a staple of pretty much any fun or competitive list.

If you're interested in the bigger guys you could try to find a Celesrial Stampede box

Then you can run Thunder Lizards, with Stegadons which become battleline in Thunderlizards.
Or run an Engine of the Gods and a Skink Chief on Stegadon. Basically I think that's you're way to 2k using the big guys. You can also consider Emerald Lifeswram Endless spell to keep your big dinosaur alive

    Easy ;)

Your next buy should be a Slann. He is to good and also gives a lot a magic defens.

You Saurus Worriors can be uesed as Guard, I think no one will be mad about it for a new Player.

You can use your buff Heros flexible, but in general just buff the Basti.

20 Skinks are not perfect but it will held to use them to hold a marker.

Allegiance: Seraphon - Constellation: Thunder Lizard -
    Grand Strategy: Beast Master
    LEADERS

    Engine of the Gods (265)
Stegadon with Skink Chief (305) - General - Command Trait: Prime Warbeast
    Slann Starmaster (265)
    Skink Priest (80)
    Skink Starpriest (130)
Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (215) - War Spear

    UNITS

    5 x Saurus Guard (115)
    5 x Saurus Knights (110)
    5 x Saurus Knights (110)
    20 x Skinks (150) - Pipes & Star Bucklers

    BEHEMOTHS

    Bastiladon with Solar Engine (250)

    TOTAL: 1995/2000 WOUNDS: 109

I too prefer not to move lots of guys around, and play Seraphon to play with dinosaurs. I very it up, but I generally play Thunder Lizards with a Slann, 4 or 5 monsters (1 carnasaur, 1 Bastilidon, and a mix of stegadons, engine if the gods, or a second carnasaur), a unit if 5 guards, a few units of no l knights (normally in 5s, occasionally a 10), and some sort heros.

I find it fun, and changing just a few things can make it feel rather different.

My last several games I ran this, and found it have me plenty of options during the game:

    Scar-Vet on carnasaur
    Slann
    Engine of the Gods
    Skink Priest
    Skink Starpriest

    5 Saurus guards
    10 Saurus Knights
    5 Saurus Knights
    Stegadon

    Bastilidon with Solar Engine

Thanks for help! I'm headed to the store today to pick up my order. I will have to ask for a slann, they probably don't have one and I saw they are sold out online. They do have a kroak at the store but I hate to buy him if I'm not going to use him.

You can often find models at Ebay stores, or even look into 3D printed models on sites like Etsy. But, I understand if you want to support your local store.
