I made a new list a while ago and tested it out yesterday and this list did amazing wonders and a possible victory if the game wasn't cut short (I was fighting against my boyfriend's Warriors of Chaos) Do note that I don't have a access to a rulebook so most items I cannot access without my boyfriend finding out what I am up to (he has it) Lords: Slann-Mage Transcendent Healing, Harmonic Convergence Heroes: Chakax Saurus Scar-Veteran Battle Standard Bearer, Light armour, Piranha Blade, Halberd and Shield Skink Priest Lv 2 Tetto'eko Core: 10 Saurus 25 Skink cohorts with three Kroxigor 13 Skink Skirmishers Special: 10 Temple guard Bastiladon ---------------------------------------------- I do have other lists but this was the best one I did yet
Ok, auch, i think there is a lot to be improved in this list. Quite a few things are not optimized, or simply weak. I would strongly consider reading the tactica in the tactics section of this forum. I am not saying that every list should be tournament ready, just that some things can be a lot better in this list. Slann-Mage Transcendent Healing, Harmonic Convergence You really need to make a choice for either Tettoeko or a Slann in 2000 P, you simply dont have enough power dice to make this work in under 4K points, unless you are playing SoM. Also, if you take Harmonic Convergence, take a Channeling staff! Its only 15 points and makes your channeling +1. Yes, you can channel on 3 dice evey turn on a 5+, averaging an extra DD and PD per turn. Slann mage, Convergence, Staff and BSB and the Lore of Light is a good starting setup and might even be the only character you run in a game. Also, make him the BSB! You can do this for almost free, and you can still get other equipement. You will want to keep yout Slann save anyway while you want to run your Scar Vet in combat, where he might die, and then there is no more BSB for you! Heroes: Chakax I have little experience with this guy, but 4 chars in 2K feels like at least 2 characters to many. Try to run only 1 character per 1000 points in LM unless you have a very good idea what you will do with him. I would cut Chakax, if you keep him he has to stay with your Slann, this creates one very expensive unit, avoid this. Saurus Scar-Veteran Battle Standard Bearer, Light armour, Piranha Blade, Halberd and Shield. He will be a very sad Saurus Scar Veteran as he will never be able to use his Halberd. If you have a magic weapon, you MUST use it instead of any other weapon. Cut the halberd, cut the BSB and give it to your Slann, and this guy should be fine Skink Priest Lv 2 You do love your characters don't you? 8 magic levels in 2K is 4 levels to many, drop this guy. Do you really think you will ever cast a single spell with this guy when your Slann and Tettoeko have already sucked up all your PD? Tetto'eko Again, either Tettoeko or a Slann, not both under 4K, and even then it is a strong consideration. I would go with a Slann, but its preference, Tettoeko is strong. Core: 10 Saurus Waaaay to small, NEVER EVER field units of saurus under 15, try to have them on 20 when you can. This is to be Steadfast, and to not be wiped out by any real unit on the charge, so you cant do anything back. 25 Skink cohorts with three Kroxigor Seems solid 13 Skink Skirmishers13 is a weird number,, i would go for 10 for to manouver them, but ok for the rest i guess. Give them Javelins and Shield for parry save, better save and Quick to Fire Special: 10 Temple guard Same here, waaaaaay to small. NEVER EVER field saurus under 15, imagine that the unit minimum is 15. Maybe convert your other Saurus into a bigger TG unit? You gotta keep your Slann save, and even on themself they are very good Bastiladon Good monster, reasonable choice. Just know it is your only monster, and that every cannon will shoot it. Also, this is ANOTHER THING in your army sucking up power dice,, its kinda ridiculous. If you have a single mage you can have another Bastialdon, if you have more then that(which you shouldnt) dont take more things that suck up PD With all the characters you should cut you will have a lot of points left. Try putting in some more Skink Skirmisher units with Javelins, they are great monster hunters and great all around to have. Also try to get in some more Monsters, this overloads your opponents cannons, they can't shoot everything, so it gives your surviving dinosaurs a chance to get in position. I feel like you are an inexperienced player, i hope you are having fun with the hobby. I really recommend the tactica Scalanex curated and mostly wrote on this forum, its quite a read but it's so worth it. Link is here. http://www.lustria-online.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8681
