Hi Folks, I have a problem. I can't for the life of me get my nice shiny plastic and metal toys to interface with the Army Book in any meaningful way. Every time I try to build a list I just get completely confused and give up Can you guys try and build a 1950 point list for me, pretty please? Here's what I have: Character types Engine of the Gods + Skink Priest Skink Priest (a second one) Skink Chief Saurus Oldblood/Scar Vet on foot Saurus Oldblood/Scar Vet on Cold One Note the complete absence of a Slann.... I just don't have one yet Core About 60 Saurus About 30-40 Skinks (all set up for skirmishing, arms and weapons everywhere, do not rank up nicely) 6 Swarms Special About 15 Saurus Cav 3 Terradons 1 Salamander 2 Razordons (don't ask about those last two items. I am perfectly happy to field them as 3x either) Rare The aforementioned Engine of the Gods THINGS I DON'T HAVE Slann Kroxigor Basic Stegadon Carnosaur Umm, I think that's about it, although chances are I've forgotten something (or several somethings... ) Thanks all, my brain is mush at the moment... Well firstly I am pretty sure you wil find that salamanders and razordons are actually rare slots as well, not special... Now, no one can really write a list for you. It looks like you have a pretty huge amount of miniatures so you can aim for pretty much any style, though you are missing both of the most common lord choices (Slann and carnosaur) which limits you a little bit. Remember you do not need to field the same list every game, it is perfectly acceptable to make lots of lists and use whatever you like in a game. So the first thing you should do is think about a theme for a list, most commonly skink heavy or saurus heavy. The skinks will be faster and lighter, the saurus will be more hardcore combat based. Once you have a theme, start to build a list around the theme. You can choose to base a theme on your favourite model as well. Build up an army around it, remembering to think about what you actually want the army to do and how they will work together. And as I said before, make lots of lists! Try them out and get a feel for what you like best. There are plenty of lists already posted by people to get inspiration from as well.
