So I am brand new to the world of aos and am in the process of building my first 1000 points.. wanna know if it will fail spectacularly or if it is a viable list. -3×5 saurus guards -Eternity Warden(general) - eternal starhost - engine of the gods - unit of chameleon skinks x10 (I could drop the chameleonskinks and eternal host for that 80 points and bring a slann perhaps?) Hello there and welcome ! Well EotG doesn't particularly synergize with the guards + it can't pay off its points on its own without a Slann. That being said though, I 'm afraid Slann doesn't really fit in lists less than 2000 so my suggestion would be to replace EotG with some other available models you have ? * keep in mind that most of the scenarios are won by "having more models than your opponent in 6" ' which is something you definitely lack as it is now !
Chameleon skinks are golden always have them in your army, EotG is better in a larger army as @Seraphage has already stated. Something like this maybe, Leaders Skink Starpriest (100) Saurus Eternity Warden (140) Battleline 5 x Saurus Guard (100) - Seraphon Battleline 5 x Saurus Guard (100) - Seraphon Battleline 5 x Saurus Guard (100) - Seraphon Battleline Units 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) Behemoths Stegadon (260) Battalions Eternal Starhost (80) Total: 1000/1000
Or replace the steg with a scar-vet on carno for a decent command ability that synergises with the army better.
