Hey! Long time Reader - first time poster! I have only played a couple games in AoS yet and my Seraphon army isnt that big. I played games against a death player and lost all. We played at 750 and 1000 Points a I brought the eternal starhost but the mortal wounds crushed them. Last time his Arkhan threw 30+ mortal wounds on my 10 sguards with 1 spell and that was the end. So i got some backup Units now. Got some Cold one that I will form to razordons (going to Show pics when they are rdy) and a Slann. For now i got the following Units: 20 Saurus guards (will be Proxys for warriors next match) 10 warriors 12 razordons (lets see how they turn out ;]) 1 Salamander 3 Skink Handlers 5 CamoSkinks (kinda bad in the GHB17, razordons are cheaper and with the teleport now do a better Job imo) Starpriest Eternity Warden Slann Death Player plays with 1030 pts. - usually arkhan, Skeleton warriors shield graveguard, necro and undead king. Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Trait: Great Rememberer - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices Skink Priest (80) - Priestly Trappings - Artefact: Prism of Amyntok Battleline 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) - Clubs 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) - Clubs 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) - Clubs Units 4 x Razordons (160) 4 x Razordons (160) 3 x Skink Handlers (40) / or 1 Salamander Total: 1000/2000 Plan is to port the razordons in range of the grave guard or/and arkhan. arkhans spell really is powerful. with the slann i might got a Chance to unbind some stuff. Welcome! Regardless of what you bring: If Arkhan (or anybody else) unleashes that number of wounds you will be history. That being said: I think I would try and play a sniping list. You have to kill Arkhan and the Necromancer. 12 Razordons? Hehehe.... that could work... Me, I'd probably just play a group of 40 regular Skinks and teleport it behind Arkhan instead of the Razordons because they are more reliable but IIRC you don't have those so the Razordons will do. With (at least) Arkhan and (optimal) the Necromancer gone I am pretty sure that Skellies cannot kill an Eternal Starhost buffed by a Priest. The Saurus Warriors are REALLY bad in groups of ten, I'd advice against doing that. Also you lack synergy to make them less than really bad.
So statisticly 4 razordon if the perfectly average are only gona put out 4 wounds on arkhan before the death save. And even with rerolling 1's that would bump it to 5 so your not gona one shot arkhan that way. I am building to counter a similar list and this is what i have. Allegiance: Seraphon Skink Starpriest (80) - Artefact: Prism of Amyntok Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One(100) - General - Trait: Thickly Scaled Hide - Artefact: Coronal Shield 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Saurus Knights (200) - Lances 6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280) 1 x Salamanders (40) Shadowstrike Starhost (170) Total: 990/1000 3 Ripperdactyl will put out about 12 wounds on average the first time they drop in so its more then enough to kill arkhan with 6.
