Preloaded and waiting for it to open with baited breath. Lizardman, then Skaven. Not sure if I'll ever play as either of the elf races.

 

Oh, come on. I love High Elves. Not as gamey as Wood Elves and Dark Elves have just a hint of rottenness about them that spoils the taste.

 

From best to worst...

1. Dark Elves
2. Wood Elves
3. High Elves

The cult of khaine is just too much on the bloodletting side of the blood/sadistic pleasure cult scale.

I'd rather see ranks of spears or pheonix guard than that. Tree hippies too.

Personally I think the Dark Elves have a nicer range of models than the High Elves. For instance there is nothing in the High Elf range to match the Witch Elves. Of course, this is purely subjective aesthetic preferences. Dark Elves are my fourth favourite army overall.

I also really like the Wood Elves. That's my wife's army! I think they are very interesting thematically, and focusing on one of the four seasons makes for a very cohesive and beautiful army.

 

Oddly, this is my ranking as well. I have a few High Elves in my collection, mostly Isle of Blood with some additions, but none of the others.

 

I agree on your wood elves points.

witch elves don't appeal to me. when i think blood rites i think countess Bathory.

honestly i love the dark elf models generally speaking. however pheonix guard (or at least the mom miniatures equivalents) beat out black guard by a small margin.

white lions are pants on head stupid imo, however swordsmasters also beat out executioners by a small margin (as long as we are talking about skull masked exec's - the previous ones were on point)

 

i really want some seaguard for a painting distraction, but i would never have an army to use them in.

Swordsmasters are a pretty cool models, to my taste at least

I reckon I'll start with Kroq-Gar, he's supposed to be one of the best melee lords in the game, and Grymloch one of the best large killers. So I'm very excited about that prospect. I'll very likely also raise a secondary army with a saurus old blood, with an infantry focus, heaps of saurus warriors and temple gaurds, going to be fun

 

i can't wait till this guy comes out. Skinks for the skink throne!




I dunno who i'll start with, i thought about starting with Tyrion or Malekith and wait until the good mods get added to the workshop, then i'll do a Kroq-gar campaign.

 

I pretty much reckon that lizards will be my only faction for the first long duration of the game.

We should totally make a thread involving good mods for the game

He's a lord option, but you have to unlock him with a rite first.

 

None-named Slanns will also be possible, but as stated above, not as in regular recruitment, but through a new mechanic call rites. With are rituals that follow alongside the main campaign idea of vortex and stabilizing it. So beside a Slann from those Rites, one can also activate certain campaign abilities for a duration of time, like bonus to infantry or recruitment bonuses.
