so my local GW is running a instore tourney using gh17 missions and ive ended up taking the following list. Slann Mage Priest Skink Priest Trogladon Bastilidon 20 Skinks with blowpipes 10 Sarus Guard full command 5 camo skinks. Slann takes both the Skink Abilities. relics can change each game. so far only played Stormcast won a major victory
How well did the preist do for you? Did you get the prayer off most turns and if not did he have a impact? Did you miss starlight and the serpent staff buff to your trog that a starpriest would brung? Also how well did the chameleons do? For less that there cost you could have ran a max size unit of skins, and 40 shots at 3 and 5 is nothing to scoff at.
the priest failed his ability each turn but made up for it buy killing a few SE with shooting and one in combat. the camo skinks did what i have taken them for which is to objective grab/cause my oposition to split his army and keep a large unit back on his objective. i have taken the slann ability in GH17 thats gives starlight and curse of fate so didnt miss it at all. i didn't end up buffing the trog in my first game and it did very little ( stormcast with 2 up saves and 6 on armour saves heal wounds.) i ended up shielding my guard and starlighting them (to avoid the mortal wounds on 6 to hit with SE) the 20 skinks did well i hid them in a forest managed to lore a unit of SE to combat pulling back and charging with the guard.
