I'd love a similar update for all our wizards to be honest. Virtually all of em have the issue that once they've cast their spell they jus stand around looking pretty. It Always feels kind of weird how much of the time they just don't do anything.

To be honest, given how integral summoning is to our army I'd say that we kinda need a complete overhaul. If only cuz the added power of summoning needs to be balanced out somehow. Not to mention to deal wit the amount of powercreep since our battletome came out.

Absolutely agreed, though I'd go a bit further and say that are wizards stand around looking very pretty.

A new Battletome is necessary--would be necessary even without the new edition dropping--for the reasons you mentioned. Spell lores, expanded and refined allegiance abilities, updates to some units are all needed to bring Seraphon more in line with the "new era" armies, I think. But we're not alone. I read a lot about various Destruction armies needing some love. I play against a Skaven Skyre player who's never had a Battletome at all. Etc. So they've got a long list of things that need updating. I just hope we're close to the top.

A Rules Preview on Realm-specific Artefacts. This is more confirmation that the Realms stuff (spells and artefacts) are a function of list-building and not some randomized thing determined at start of play. Though it sounds like the Realm you play in will still figure in.

    damn those things are powerfull.

I like how you can choose em. And I really like how they can interact with certain heroes. Those bows are briljant on say a skink starpriest who normally just stands around looking pretty after casting his spell as I mentioned before.

However, I really don't like how this interacts with certain other heroes… Throw one of those bows on a lord-celestant on foot and you got a 100 point ranged mortal wound spamming capable melee hero. It begs for at least some limitations as to who can wear what.

For sure. That breastbones one can wreck bcr with some good rolls, really any hero on mount. Scarvet on carno is basically pointless if its hit with that! Thankfully there are better picks for a small chance to do that.

Also those bows are getting modeled as blowpipes for my skink heroes! Mortal wound blowguns!?! Yes please haha.

Weirdly enough a long while ago I was trying to work out a colour scheme for my Beastmen and I had the weird idea of them Azyr realm based. Then coming up with an interesting story there as how did chaos snuck in really.
Now they say about choosing realms for your armies. Hmmmmmm.
Wanted them starry/heaven based colours but I'm still working that one out.

Edit: Then I just read that people noticed Azyr is not there on the list so yep....
Well another idea is the metallic Beastmen based off Taurox

Haha, that means the Azyr Beastmen could be a thing then! Just wish GW would just combine really, have to run a Chaos allegiance to have all the Beastmen models/Chaos monsters.
Planned on mostly Shamans with Cygors, of course the battelines in there and maybe some Chaos monsters.

You get two resin (finecast?) Generals in one box?

(That was right at the end.)

The freeguild generals are plastic, but yes, you get two to a box.

Also, the free people's preview mentioned a free set of errata for everyone.

They are plastic? Interesting. It said resin on the online catalog page description. Typo?

mm, more point reductions, an indication that out of the 14 or so endless spells only 5 will be offensive & that they're keeping the rule of one for spells(damn it -.-)

Also, the fact that the shaman has got completly new spell does make me hopefull for our wizards getting a tad better as well in that aspect. A slann's light of heaven seems to see almost no use and even if it would all our "special" spells are supportive. Getting something else, or better yet a choice like with the battlemages, would be interesting.

I do rather miss having all my Beastmen under one banner. It just seems silly to separate them into Warherd and Brayherd and Beasts of Chaos when they could run them as one allegiance, like in Fantasy.
