My Paint Scheme

Right now i dont have much done but i have 4 models complete but i still have a lot more and here are some pics:

I REALLY like your color choices so far. I was thinking of doing the 'charcoal' scales for one of my stegs but was unsure. After seeing it on your guys you have helped me make up my mind! What colors did you use in terms of base and highlights for the 'charcoal' look?

One suggestion I could give would be that the shades on the skin bit's (the non-charcoal non metal bits) to increase the contrast with a wash or quickshade.

I can't wait to see more pics, especially when you finish up the bases.

 

i'd like the colour scheme but i don't like really much the gold on shield and weapons u have already a lot of yellow in your models maby black or red make more contrast ^^

 

I like the temple guards helmet alot but i think it could use another highlight with some skull white so it looks a little more boney and less sand just my 2 cents

 

Looks great, very good work with the black. I couldn't get black scales to work when I tried. I do agree the gold doesn't really stand out much on the yellow though.

any how i would love to see some other models i'm stuck with the terradon's what do you plan to do?

 

well my scale are adeptus battlegray then i mixed 1/2/3 adeptus/ skull white/ water then i put it on random scales to make it look dry in spots then i black washed all the scales and thats how i got my scales.

And im working on a cold one i should be finished within a week or two but i have most of the base coats done. I might do a base im not sure what to do but it will look sick!!!!

 

i got a idea for the base im thinking of adding an ancient look like pyramids and add lizardmen writing on it and painting it like the light brown marble.



If u have some cool ideas to add post them and i might do them and show them to everyone on this site.

 

i finished modelling my base i didnt paint it but it will look sick!!!!! I will be finish the whole model by tomorrow but im going to take a picture of it before and after paint.

Wow no one wanted to tell if I painted my new guy wrong or that he is the best painted thing ever!!!!! I'm glad and depressed at the same time try to figure that out misstor science guy !!!!!!

 

i like the first cold one, it looks a bit like the saurus is telling him where to go, there all well painted but there is too much black for my taste

Ok....

It could use some depth,
its a bit flat as you only used
one color for each feature <-- (sp fixed)
Ideally everything should have
a highlight and a shadow.
a light was in some darker shade
and a light dry brush would go a long way.

 

Do you mean feather or feature?
