Question: The command hability "Ancient Warlord" of the Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur can be stacked? I mean, if i have 3 CP, i can use them on himself, making 3 (+2+2+2) attack on 3+/3+/-1/D3 on his mele weapon Sunstone Spear ??? Thx for the answers
I actually think it won't globally be FAQed, but they will change the rule texts of the command abilities to clarify those that create imbalance when stacked.
Okay thx all , I'm happy that it can be stacked, yesterday i kill an Arkhan (10 pv) with 3 CP and 1 wound left xD
Hey also I realized that oldblood on carno command ability can’t be used on jaws unfortunately. Was that recent?
Well, we should know if the Carnosaur is considering as an HERO SERAPHON (including the oldblood) or its separeted: Carno (the mount) / Oldblood (Hero Seraphon).
It is one model, the warscroll says so. The rules that make a distinction between rider and mount apply for command traits and artefacts. I'll check the book in a minute though.
Page 242 of the core book explicitly states what I said above, command _abilities_ (don't confuse them with command _traits_) are not mentioned here, nor is such a restriction mentioned in the paragraphs that talk about them on page 228 of the core book.
So if i have 3 CP i can use them on the carnausor's massive jaws making 5 (if he dont suffer wounds) + 6 attacks on 4/3/-1/3 ???
Yep. It sounds overpowered but in fact it is way less powerful than some things other armies can do with three CPs. Example: Three "Waaagh"s by an Ironjawz Megaboss on a unit of Brutes.
But the things its play him with an battalion: Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (260) - General - Trait: Disciplined Fury - Artefact: Blade of Realities Turn 2 the general can make 3+8 (4 CPs) attacks on 3+(re-roll 1)/3+/-2/D3 - You can go kill an Hero easly, more if its a monster ...
Yeah, but that's only pulling it once, and only killing 1 target. Stuff like 3 waaghs involves murdering half an army worth of stuff in one go, which is slightly more problematic… Plus, there's plenty of stuff that can oneshot heroes or monsters anyway. It's not particularly out of whack compared to other things given the costs.
No problem. The same happened to a lot of people when the rules were released. We were already jumping around screaming "Carnosaur nerf OMG" before someone noticed.
