Great work. Amazing. I hope to see the metal carno done one day.

My question is how do you paint those tiny red and blue squares/triangles with multiple blended gradations of colours? I struggle to stay in the lines with just one color!

He does it with patience and care and a small brush, you should watch him on Instagram or his Patreon site, just keep practicing that's all you can do ;)

As @Crowsfoot mentioned, with training and patience. Though there are methods you can use to stabilize your hand, like either supporting your little finger on the hand your painting with on another part of the model for support or having the model placed in such a way that you have something else you can support the hand on.

Also to that what I have found recently is using a magnifying lens really does help with the smaller details, once your used to it it's a great tool to have.

so do I!! Have been trying to finish him since forever, a lot of stuff just keeps getting in the way. But he has not been forgotten

As for painting small details... both @The Red Devil and @Crowsfoot advice is preatty good. In addition to that I have faound that using a paintbrush that is sable hair with a very nice tin No.1 and using paint that is thinned to the righy conaistency also helps a lot!

    But definatelly practice is key!

Relax your hand. If you try to muscle your way in the lines you will shake. If you relax your hand and practice you will develop your micro coordination.

@Xlanax_lot your work is always beautiful. I first saw your Old Blood on Cool Mini or Not, it is part of what inspired me to collect Seraphon.

I am more asking how do you blend the colours like that, especially in such a tiny space?

Even the tiny triangles have multiple blended colours in them, even though they're basically the size of the width of a tiny brush!

Its the same process as mentioned above, Make sure you use just the tip of the brush and the right amount of paint. Also although not too obvious, color choise also makes a huge difference.

There are some colors that naturally blend better with each other ( normally that is analogous colors)

Jajajjs you got me.... You got me my friend

It is actually layer blends? Or do you glaze blend in that small of spaces?

I like to use both techniques, but specifically in this case I used layer blends

I can just imagine that conversations with you would be like:

Painting Models whilst hanging from ceiling.png

I'm joking of course - no offence meant to either of you! :p You are both absolutely amazing artists and it's always a pleasure and a privilege to see what you come out with!

Your work on the Stegadon Howdah is as always absolutely stunning!

Definatelly a great investment! It speeds up the painting process a lot and is very useful for certain effects like blending or OSL
