so I have my start collecting. Basically everything is finished and presentable, however that leaves me with one question. Where do I build next? I currently poses a Saurus Oldblood on carnosaur, 10 warriors, 5 knights, a skink starpriest, and a skink oracle that may become another starpriest. So what do I build next?
Here is a short list of things that pretty much every Seraphon player needs: Slann Starmaster Saurus Astrolith Bearer Lots and lots and lots of Skinks
Slann is definitely something I will look into, same with astrololith bearer But how good are skinks?
Skinks fill several crucial roles in the meta: Skinks are cheap battleline tax. Skinks are able to tie up enemy units. Skinks are excellent at screening enemy charges. Skinks deal more damage per point than other Seraphon Troop Choices. Skinks are Seraphon's optimal unit to take and hold objectives.
So skinks seem like a must, what about another start collecting box as I found that awesome thread on how to get a bunch of stuff from it? Skinks I should be able to get fairly easily, nit as expensive as the sc box.
Ask to your game store if they still have a box of Starclaw Strikehost (it's no more available online). It was a great deal, giving you a starpriest, a Basti, a trog / Carno, 6 terradons / rippers and 24 skinks.
Great idea, problem is I don’t have $170 lying around, so it would take a LOoooooonnggg time for me to save for that.
The point is: it's a good deal, but afaik it was an offer that was available just for a limited time (xmas?). So, if you don't have the money right now BUT your game store got one, it could be worth a try to ask if they can keep it away for you. Or find someone to share with you the purchase.
Time to work to an insane extent get as much cash as possible then go to my local gamesworkshop, grovel at the feet of the guy there for a starclaw strike host, then get it. Or I could get my friend to help with it THEN I get a slaan starmaster
If you want to shave $25 off the cost of the Strikehost, they are available on amazon for $145. I picked mine up from there when my FLGS didn't have the stikehost in stock.
