So, there's a wee bit of a tournament at my LFGS, and I thought I'd dust my old Lizardmen off and bring them. Here's what I came up with for a 1K points list: Saurus Scar-Veteran Burning Blade of Chotec Light Armor Shield Cold One (133) Skink Priest Diadem of Power Level 2 (125) Skink Priest Plaque of Tepok Ixti Grubs Level 2 (140) 10x Skink Skirmishers (70) 10x Skink Skirmishers (70) Cold One Cavalry Full Command Juanchi’s Blessed Totem (250) TOTAL: 998
The major problem I see with this list is that it's easy to avoid your COC and pick appart the skinks for free VPs. I understand skinks are great but you don't have a unit with real standing power. Thats probably because the list you posted only has 788 pts at the moment. My 1k list only has 1 mage but I use a block of 19 Saurus. I also have only one unit of skirmishers of 11 skinks and a flanking unit of 10 TGs but it's otherwise similar to yours (My Scar-Vet is on foot but uses the Burning Blade of Chotec as well, great cheap magic item!). I guess the fact that you'll be playing in a tournament influenced you in picking more 2 mages in 1000 pts and thats fine, but be sure tto pick something to fill in the 222 pts you have left .
maybe dropping a unit of skinks and putting a nice chunky block of saurus or maybe even some skink cohorts with kroxigors for some fast moving rank bonus infantry
Ya I would suggest saurus and krox, ya may wanna loose a skink priest or keep both and loose all the gear on them. Anyways these are just suggestions. Good luck in the tourney.
