I’d say so. I was predicting similar for Fyreslayers being boxed with an Orc faction (either Ironjawz or Bonesplitterz).

Slaanesh has just been featured in Wrath and Rapture - it’s more likely going to be Tzeentch as Nurgle was updated only last year.

To be honest, I'd like them to stop throwing boxed sets around for a little while.. it's getting difficult to keep up painting everything like this :p

I've been splitting the box sets. I am now the proud owner of a abhorrent ghoul archregent, and not a single skaven model.

I like keeping the entire set as it allows me to eventually build up armies of everything, so that if at some point I decide another army is neat I already have a headstart. Plus, then I can occasionally play something different. But lately nearly everything appears to be a boxed set, which is just a tad much.

Also, I'd love to see more "smaller" boxed sets that aren't as expensive. Even if they're a good deal, keeping up with boxes that cost a 100+ each time does mean I can't really get anything besides the boxed set at the same time, and as a consequence I haven't gotten any new stuff for my main armies in quite a while.

I don't think they will be pushing third chaos battletome just after Skaven and Khorne. Death is also unlikely because all current allegiences has their battletome. Soulblight still looks like being able to go separate, but yet again, death just god Flesh-Eaters. Probably either order or destruction will be announced at adepticon. I still don't think that picture with 4 grand alliances they showed when announcing battletomes, means anything. Their hints about what coming next are often more vague.

I'm getting worried, we have a lot of rules for our units ,and I find that fun and makes each choice unique, but the khorne tome has simplified a lot of their war scrolls, I really hope they don't do that to us

The examples i've seen haven't only really made stuff less convoluted, like the bloodsecrator no longer needs to stand still to use his banner and can actually keep up with the rest of the army so he can actually do his job. That doesn't seem like "(over)simplification" to me. Are there examples I'm missing?

Also, some of our units could do with less rules. Saurus have a shield rule, a banner, a musician, 2 horde bonusses & then there's still the various battalions they can be added into. Combining so many rules on 1 unit makes it more and more difficult to balance as the more abilities it has the more likely one of those abilities will be usefull, leaving you in a situation where it can very quickly become overbearing if all of those abilities are powerfull, or completly underwhelming when all are purposely kept weak cuz it can just do so much resulting in a unit that does everything, but does nothing well.

A big one I've seen is skullreapers and now just really generic and I've spoken to a friend that plays them and he's said bestiary every aspect of the army has been dumbed down

Perhaps, but a proper Deathrattle set, maybe with more of the old Khemri units updated for AoS, would be nice. Skeleton archers, screaming skull catapults, that kind of thing. For that matter, the Godsworn Hunt for Shadespire hints that a new Slaves to Darkness book focused more around generic Godsworn might be in the works. That archer figure in the Hunt makes me wonder if the old Chaos Archers from 1st edition WFB might be making a comeback soon. Of course, that could have just been a precursor for that Warcry game that just got announced...

I'd still like some endless spells for our lizards, but there are (unfortunately) other possibilities.

Wasn't there an announcement for Darkoath to become a seperate faction at some point like half a year back?

I was honestly thinking this because Darkoath specifically had a Harbinger released for Malign Portents alongside the Sigmarine (Sacrosanct), the Knight of Shrouds (Nighthaunt) and the Fungoid Cave Shaman (Gloomspite Gitz). All three have teased their own faction release so I was expecting Darkoath to be their own Chaos faction.

Yeah, Darkoath certainly will have thier battletome, or be a part of new Slaves to Darkness. But in September, when everyone expected Grots, GW suddenly pulled out Beasts of Chaos before them. So Darkoath may be a thing later. I think, they will be relised alongside Warcry.

I heard a rumor, that in 40k all first half of 2019 (till may-june) will be about Chaos. Since AoS often follows 40k schedule, there may be indeed be a 3rd chaos battletome in a raw...

I am honestly praying to all the Gods that both these things won't be true, but knowing how GW don't seem to care if they force too much of something on people (mostly if it's Imperium, human or Daemon Chaos or Sigmarines) I wouldn't be at all surprised, meaning we'll be in for a very dull and boring first half of the year.

According to GW's latest post on Warhammer Community, they say that 40K Chaos will be getting releases for 'The Next Few Weeks' - I'm interested to see how many of us actually survive being bored to tears during that time period...:sour::depressed::wtf::vomit:

By the time they are done with Chaos, GHB2019 won't be so far away. Maybe, they will give us magic lore this time?

I imagine that they're thinking about the Seraphon tome next, before GHB 2019, so I imagine the magic lore will come out with that.

I am both excited and annoyed by the new Chaos releases. :shifty: My primary 40K armies are a Grot-Tank-themed Ork force, and an old, heavily converted Renegades and Heretics army that is being severely hampered by the lack of anything more useful than the Imperial Armor: Index rules. Before you say "just play them as AM/IG," I can't. Too many units were converted that won't work with IG rules. I'd lose about 2/3 of my army if I did that. :meh: Hence why I started a Grot Tank army while I've been waiting for an update to the Forge World Index that likely isn't coming.
