if I have to go with the ones I know and have eaten... I've to choose between McDonalds and Burger King, Because the others are not around in the Netherlands I'll choose McDonalds Gr, Imrahil
McDonalds traditionally outperforms the others in the top row because among the high volume chains, McDonalds puts more sugar in their fries. I haven't tried White Castle or Shakeshack fries. I think Five Guys fries are better than McDonalds, but not by a lot. When Five Guys first came to my town, I heard many stories about "Five Guys is great, especially their fries!" so many times that by the time I actually tried it, I was disappointed because they were hyped up as the greatest fries ever. My favorite fries are at a pub near my friend's house.
Before, they have a fancy array of spices and flavoring agents that they use. It's their menu's signature item. But comparing restaurant fries to fast food fries is not very fair. It's like comparing Jar Jar to Citzen Kane.
I only know McDonald's and Burger King, so I didn't vote. But among those two I'd say the McDonald's ones are a bit better.
If I can't get restaurant quality fries, I tend to ask for onion rings. I like onion rings. There is very little gap between the best onion rings and the worst onion rings. There's a hamburger place (I think it's a chain with three or four franchises) near where I live where in lieu of a hamburger and fries. I get a hamburger and a hotdog.
Five Guys is the only decent quality one on there that operates in the U.K. (or at least that I’ve tried), so it would have to be them. However, the proper way to serve fried potatoes is like this: And they’re called chips!!!!
Exactly so my friend - that's why I put Walkers French Fries up there as a joke, as they're not real chips, they're crisps shaped like them, they just use the American name
True, but they can vary quite a bit. It would be like comparing Michelangelo's sculptures to a random stone on the road and concluding that they're all just rocks!
Lol. I see your point. Although I would say that comparing a sculpture to a rock is more like comparing a fry (chip) to a potato. However, deep fry that sculpture and now your talking!
