Just as Huoroc had said four ratman did approach, before the actual creatures where seen a green light could be seen coming from the right corridor. Then came the smell, then the ratmen, they where covered in matter fur, filth, oozing pustules, and the stench was foul. One skaven carried the aforementioned skink head, it shone like a filth covered beacon covering the area in a green glow.

They were clearly startled by the small war party standing at the ready, the one holding the relic stepped back as the others rushed forward, drawing rusty, and gnarled blades from the scraps of clothes they wore. As the slave rats rushed at the group, the trail of flies that followed them came suddenly into focus, also the stench was harder for the lizardmen to ignore at this distance as well.

Huaroc had been ready for the foul ratmen as they advanced. His blowpipe already to his scaled lips he targeted the vile horror holding aloft the skull and shot him up a nostril with a poisoned dart. The dart traveled streight up the nasal canal into the brain of the pestulant bearer of the magic item, striking with a squishy TWAP. The skaven fell dead instantly.

((I realize this will require more than the single skill point. For the interest in character development I'm willing to burn extra skill. Say the word and I'll subtract the required amount.))

Though he reloaded his blow pipe, he knew the rest of his party was eagre for battle and so held back his darts for them to do their grizzly work.

Tzuhil was furious. He only wanted the awful stench to cease. In a blink, he released the poisened dart in his blowpipe at the filthy rats, catching one while he charged and killing him.
Unable to concentrate on the delicate action of aiming and shooting the darts, Tzuhil charged the rats, roaring as he unsheathed his blades. He jumped on one of the 2 survivors who was gaping at his fallen brethren, and slashing left and right in a flurry of blood he disemboweled the mutant.
Tzuhil then looked to see who was going to take care of the remaining rat, who realizing his situation has started to back up.
    - 1 skill point for shooting, and -2 more for counting as a battle point.

Huaroc realized that the rest of his brethren had somehow hesitated in their actions. Perhaps they'd been caught off guard or maybe even hadn't had enough sunshine to warm their bodies recently. At any rate he knew that action would be needed in order to keep them all alive.

Selecting four more darts which had been dipped in his deadliest poison he placed two inside his blow gun and held the other two between his fingers. Taking aim at two simultaniously he openned fire. Silently the blow gun spit forth it's payload of poison tipped barbs which slammed into the necks of two of the rat slaves.

Just as the darts hit their mark Huaroc was bringing his blow gun up to his mouth again, having already loaded it with the other two darts. He openned fire on the other two slaves, one after the other. The first dart hit the third slave on the inside of it's arm where a thick vein coursed foul blood through it's body. The last shot hit the final slave in the corner of it's eye.

The battle ended before it'd really begun. Huaroc reloaded his blow gun yet again with a single dart. Then walked over and retreaved the four he'd expended upon the slaves before turning back to his party.

"Venerable brethren, I suggest we move quickly." It went without saying...

Ilok was aware of the battle up ahead. But chose not to take part, he was so close of seeing through a cloud of thought. But could not concentrate, the stench, the noise, the foul damp. It was impossible.

Ilok knew that something important lurked behind is cloud of thought. He saved his powers for later.

He saw Huarox and Tzuhil expertly taking care of the situation. The saurii were too slow to react, and had some distance to cover. The agile and alert skinks simply outclassed their opponents.
Ilok was happy how his group responded, and knew how some would save their powers for later.

((I think that took care of all 4 skaven slaves right? I'll just post a tad, tomorrow I'll post the rest once the group makes a decision))

As the group looked at the slaughtered skaven and hear the chameleon skink urge them to move on they where again left with a choice, straight or left, each looked equally ominous at this point.

Ilok was the one to step forward at this stage. He had pondered and was ready to make a decision.
To the right there were slaves and the dangerous green warpstones.
It seemed that the left was the smelliest of the three hallways.
The middle road seemed to be the right choice.

Ilok chose for the middle road. It was a bit of a gamble after all, but his thoughts somehow directed him to take the middle road.

The war party, moved quickly as Ilok directed them to march forward, although the stench was a motivational factor as well. The marched down the central corridor for about thirty paces when they came to another fork. Just like the last time, the choices where left, straight ahead, or right. Again the group looked to Ilok to lead them.

Ilok pondered, were these tunnels really that large? Would the filthy rat-men have some kind of system build in it?
He hoped so. Ilok thought the best way would be to follow his earlier choice; and move straight ahead.

Ilok noticed strange patterns in the weave of magic as they moved on. He'd seen many strange patterns and knots, but in these tunnels it was like nothing he'd ever seen before.
The warp had a great effect on the weave, Ilok understood, but could not really discern if it was a good or a bad thing.
Ilok chuckled, nor did the rat-men...

Huaroc took the point position in the group. Though the most dangerous place amoungst them it was where he was best suited. He'd stayed ahead of them for a good dozen paces so that he could more easily detect any traps or ambushes. He kept his senses sharp and was at peak alert status. His skin blending in with his environment naturally and it was easier and easier to move without being seen or heard in this strange tunnel environment.
