What happens if you destroy all the rival's units but your rival has more victory points? Do you win with a minor victory or your rival still wins?
I think some battleplans say that if you table your enemy then you win, regardless of points. So that would mean that unless they say so, then you could win despite being tabled.
Victory points always win major victories. There are no battleplans in the GHB19 or Corebook where tabling wins in Matched Play.
I distinctively remember such a battle plan though, it cost me the win of a small tournament. ....might have been one for Skirmish though!
There is one in Malign Sorcery that tabling wins as well I believe. And there are a few Open War Card objectives where wound count kills win.
Have you already seen new Gh 2019? xD I don't know but i think it is unfair because if you destroy your rival must be something useful and if you dont lose dying your strategy could be i take max possible points and then i suicide before my rival could take more than me and that has no sense
I wish Sadly it was a just a typo. I meant to say GHB2018. The game last five turns regardless of units on the table. If Player A destroys Player B's army early in the game then Player A will have the remaining number of turns to score the objective unimpeded. If tabling were an auto win then high level play would consist of army's with a high likelihood of tabling and Nugle & Death would the be counter meta's resilient armies. This is already partly the case because an early tabling should and most often does win games. Essentially the game is balanced around the concept that objectives win matches. If that changes then the game requires some massive rebalancing. However, if your play group wants to house rule that tabling wins then by all means y'all should do just that. This game is about having fun with your minis.
I am agree with you but you could go to destroy your rival's army but only aspire to a minor victory not major victory that it is less points. I dont know but i see very absurd that you destroy your rival's army and then you play alone xD it doesnt make sense to me. About house rules, I know that I can but I am asking because I want to be the most official possible xD So now I know that destroying rival's army isn't enough to win, thanks everybody PD: You dont know how confusing are the rules for someone who isn't native English because the translations to Spanish, in my case, or another languages are horrible and some rules have a so free interpretation xD PD2: Sorry for my English xD
Fucking GW xD One last question.... If you take control of an objective and in your next turn you leave the objective alone, do you still control it and you obtain your victory point/points or you lose the control and you obtain 0 points?
You control an objective until control of it is stolen by your opponent. So, you can technically score objective points even if you have no models on the table.
About the translation: I also noticed that. But it really goes both ways. Sometimes the German translation is more clear than the English original, sometimes it is the other way round.
I think it is inherent in the German language. It is very precise, and the rules translation guys seem to look at the intended meaning to get the translation right. Well... most of the time at least.
