    Discworld rules!
Well, some of it. I liked the Nightwatch books but the other ones are a bit of a mixed bag for me.

imho most are quite briljant, but it's definitly not for everyone I guess. Some of the humor can be kinda weird. And of course it helps if you're vaguely interested in whatever the book is poking fun of. unseen academicals is probably fairly uninteresting if you don't care in the slightest about football.

Terry Pratchett is definitely my favourite author and his stories are all absolute brilliant - hilarious, witty and immensely cleverly plotted. However, it it does seem to be aimed at a British sense of humour - if you can appreciate things like Monty Python you’ll probably enjoy it an awful lot but otherwise you might struggle with some of it, and as @Canas says, many of the books are themed around a certain topic, so it is helpful (but not essential) to be interested in them. If you do want to get into it (and I highly recommend doing so), I’d start with Guards, Guards!

However, it does speak volumes about your immense level of skill @Canas that your models are able to overshadow even the majesty of Discworld itself!

screwing around with contrast paints before I accidently ruin belisarius with em. I like them for the most part. Except that they need a wise basecoat. If you got annoying models like these stupid bikers where nearly every piece is behind another bit it's very easy to miss a bit which then stands out like a sour thumb as it's white. Black undercoats are much nicer when you happen to miss a bit.

    And Belisarius Cawl is done.

I've now run out of models to paint. It is a sad day for us all.

Also, can someone explain how melee works in 40K. Belisarius gets to make 2d6 attacks with his mechadendrite hive each time he fights. What exactly is "when he fights"? Once per combat phase? Each time he wacks someone over the head with his axe?

I would interpret that as once per combat phase.

I really like how the contrasts paints work for glow-y effects like tesla coils, plasma, orbs of fluid. It looks way nicer than anything I managed before.

Various heroes from a forgotten silver tower box. I like how the cloak on the fleetmaster turned out. Also I reaaally suck at painting fleshy bits of human-ish models...

Nice models, but... are you sure about their origins?

There is no Fleetmaster in the Silver Tower box.

Only three of them are heroes from the original Silver Tower box, and I think the Sorceress was in the arcane heroes expansion box.

My mistake, the fleetmaster is from the Shadows over Hammerhal box.

And yeah, it's a combination of silver tower, the expansion boxes & appearantly still some from the Hammerhall box. Anyways, all warhammer quest boxes :p

    Love the Runemaster and Doomseeker!

Interesting that you did the Runemaster with a darker beard and the Doomseeker with a brighter one, representing the Doomseeker’s more energetic and vigorous nature and the Runemaster looking older and more passive.

Yes, that's totally what I was going for and I didn't accidently screw up and use more orange than intended on the doomseeker. I agree with your wise interpretation and I'm glad someone picked up on that. In hindsight, it is rather fitting though. :p

I like the Runemaster's flaming staf thing. A metalic paint as base + contrast paints make for nice shiny and a bit sparkly results which is interesting with a magical staff like this. It's less noticeable on the pictures though as it's only really visible when you move it around and can see the light play on it a little bit.

An exalted flamer and some horrors. Contrast paints are amazing for painting daemons.
