7th Ed. Flyers and Characters

Am I reading something wrong from the main rulebook? it says that units of flyers can never have characters join them, even if mounted on a flying creature, or they are capable of flight themselves (PG 69) Does this mean that a skink chief on a terradon can't join a unit of terradons? I could have sworn this was a popular thing to do for lizard players. if so, does the same hold true of bretonnian characters on pegusai and pegasus knights? sorry for the noobish questions, but funnily enough, this conundrum has never occured to me before. Thanks guys!

 

Terradon Riders have a specific rule that allows a Skink Chief mounted on a Terradon to join them. The Army Book overrides the general rule.

Yep, which means you are correct that Bret pegasus riders cannot join pegasus units.

 

Yep, specific army book rules supersede general brb rules in situations like this.
