Hi, I'm new here ☺ and i hope i might get some help here for my first conversion. As many of you i really don't like the cold one model's for saurus knight's. So i thought about using the dracolines of the Sigmarines. Does anyone did that before and might have some advice? Today i startet with them. Attached you find some Pic's. Next i have to buy some Green Stuff for the gaps the old legs left. Till now everything works fine. Only the leg remove is a little bit complicated.
Welcome to Lustria. Your conversion seems to be on the right path. Greenstuff is definitely the key to fill in the various gaps. Please post pics once you've finished your project Are you planning to paint the dracolions like jungle cats?
Cool and unique idea! I haven't seen this take on Cold Ones yet. Looking forward to see how they turn out! If your going to buy Green Stuff, get some basic sculpting tools as well. You can use needles, chop sticks and the likes for sculpting, but real tools make it far more convenient.
Thanks for the Tip. Does Liquid Green Stuff make any sense for this? First i planed to paint like smoke jaguars. But right now i going in the direction to build a forest lizard army. So very brownish/green dinosaurs and lizards. I didn't want them blue because i don't think lizards are blue. Btw. I have tried to panit them black and red like fire salamander. But it looks awfully. Anyone ever seen a giid panited mini in this colours
I have found liquid greenstuff is better for smoothing over a rough surface or filling in small pits and bubbles in resin. If the gap is large I prefer regular old greenstuff.
That is some very nice converting bad ass, but a bit expansive for a Saurus Knight Can you tell why you used half a spear for the rider? Good luck, love to see this painted Grrr, Imrahil
