Hi all. I am desperate to begin a Lizzie army but I am not happy with the look of the Saurus. Has anyone improved their appearance? Would it be worth adding spines or a full headswap? They look a little skinny to me you see. I preferred the old ones. Not the Old Ones but the old Saurus. Well, you understand!
Well if you have a lot of dedication you could add some green stuff and thicken up their waist, and maybe their chest. I don't think a head swap would do a lot of good. one thing you can do is buy an army box it has saurus warions, cold one calvery and temple guard, these saurus bits are for the most part all interchangeable and can help your army look a lot more customized, especialy with all the temple guard bits.
Oooh brilliant idea. Thou I wouldn't need the Cold Ones the customisation might work. I love to kitbash! Thanks!
There is an article on GW's site where it shows some of the models they kitbashed this way, I have to say they look prety good.
Do you have a link for that? I cannot find it on the UK site (which really SUCKS). Also, how much of a rip-off are Krox? I may convert these....
I would but the site is blocked here at work.... check in the articles section... The substitue Krox cost about 1/3 as much as GW's version...
Those are made my other companies, Reaper mini makes a few models that might pass for Kroxigors, so does Crocidile Games and a few other companies... I think there is an active topic about this at the moment... you should look there. Edit: Ah heres the link I was looking for... http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/gatormen-as-kroxigors.4223/
Hey, well one of the things that i am doing since I dont like the Saurus models either is using Temple Guard instead as the models are much tougher and beefier looking Just a thought.. Maybe I'll put together some actual Saurus with some green stuff and show everyone a tutorial..
Oh here's a link to the fairly simple kitbashing that GW did. http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?aId=11600007
When i built my very first saurus unit 2 years ago, I opted not to put the shoulder pads on the champion. I just recently got another box of saurus and put the shoulder pads on the champ this time, and WOW it made a huge difference.
