This is getting serious! 23 days of sick leave, paints still sitting in office drawer at work, yesterday I ran out of superglue and for the last couple of days I've been gluing plastic by mix of 4 plastic cements that I poured into single bottle, so that brush can reach it. When this is over, I'm gonna need a serious restock of hobby supplies.
"Aye, maggot!" Some ork, probably. Box cleaned and dryfitted, minus the Saruman for that some good soul offered me half the price of whole box. So I will be ordering second one to get my own Saruman. Yup, even more on the way.
I have first minis preshaded. Fellow on the left is converted from normal pikeman, middle one just screams Lurtz to me, so I glued sword on his back and put him on "heroic" base and the one on the right is just normal sword&shield Uruk promoted to be captain. But before I start painting them, I need to find correct pain combo for that specific colour of their skin.
Alrighty, I need to store this somewhere before I lose it Skin tone is chosen. Base is 1:1:1:1 of Crusader skin : Holy white : Purple alchemy : Dark wood (Seen on left) Highlight of 1:1:1 of Black red : White : Thinner (all model color) on free hand Highlight of 2:1:1 of Black red : White : Thinner (all model color) on head "Purplish" lef is 1:1:1 of Crusader skin : Holy white : Purple alchemy and will not be used
I went to modellers club today to do some priming and while paint was drying, I based rest of first battlehost. I also picked up second battlehost, ordered couple of crossbowmen and single ballista for 3D print (because I had bunch of unused space on print bed), so I think I am set for long time. Also bulk of FoW British are primed along with chaos knight.
Decals day! Better half told me to go and release some steam at modellers club today. What is more relaxing than putting dozens of tiny decals, right? Edit: And off we go, done.
First warrior painted to see how paint scheme works out. It was quick and I am fairly satisfied considering I have to paint almost 100 of those guys (or variations of).
That looks fantastic! Really love the execution of the dark iron and the hand of Saruman. Bonus that it doesn't take to long to do!
Yup, took about 15 minutes total and I was searching for what each spot is supposed to be. Should be even quicker during batch painting.
First two things for this batch of FoW actually done! Unit of 6-pdrs and transport Kangaroo for HQ unit.
First 7 scouts finished! It took more time than I expected, mostly because I didn´t want them all to look the same so I was mixing about 6 different shades andpainting different parts with them. It took "batch" from "batch painting"... 8 more to do now
Great to see you dive into MESBG This motivates me to pick up my army of Isengard to built and paint as well... Grrr, !mrahil
