Hey Guys, I just started in Warhammer and have chosen Lizardmen. I have a bunch of stuff already, but started painting with my Saurus Warriors. I finished one completely as a trial, and I thought I'd show him off! Any suggestions/advice before I finish his brothers?

Also I am getting an error message when trying to use the code, its saying my images may only be up to one pixels wide? Whats that about?

Very nice, thats a great looking saurus warrior! You will end up with a cool unit. If I had one nitpick, it would be that the top of the head looks a bit weird how it goes from ice blue to a really dark blue and has basically nothing in between. I'd either lighten up the darkest shade you have, or add a few more intermediate shades (would take probably more time than its worth) to make the colours a bit smoother there.

About posting photos, we do not use img tags here. The reason is that we had a large string of bots posting so very explicite threads, so we now use linkeh in the place of url and pic in the place of img. There are buttons on the second row when you are writing a post. ;)

that is a very well done models for being a first! If you want my personal oppinion though, please please please dont chose that color scheme. you will get sick of it in no time, since all LM in all books and WD are painted like that. Chose your own theme. LM gives you a fantastic opportunity to use colors, OR to do a really nice realistic look.

if you check my signature you can see my "realistic" saurus. I would not recommend that one though, because many people find it boring, but if you check my DE hydra, that is a cool scheme for a lizardman army. or why not purple? or a rich blue green? or a dark blue? or SOMETHING that is not exactly like all GW models :D

    best of luck to you

Great job! I'd recommend getting a set of GW washes and trying them out, they really help you give your models a lot of pop and depth with minimal effort. My painting usually is giving the models their base coats, the washes, then a few highlights and call it a day. You get mid, dark, and highlights with minimal effort.

Thanks for the replies! I've decided to make this group of 24 with yellow crests ( sun god spawn), and I've been doing some converting with the champion and banner to keep it interesting. I think I'm going to stick with the shades of blue for the skin of my lizard men but get creative with the chameleon skinks, stegs, sallies, etc.
