So I had planned to paint my bases dark green and then flock them with some thick grassy stuff. Then of course I thought about it, and I realized (like many others before me) that there's virtually no %#*@%&# grass in the jungle. So what I really ought to do is paint the bases brown, and then add loads of leafy foliage (ferns would be amazing). However, I am a bit lost on what to use and where to get the kind of low leafy plants and loose leaves to scatter on the bases (I am sure as heck not gonna sculpt all the damn things lol). Anyone have any good suggestions? Thanks much!

I like the massive voodoo tutorials a lot. This one might be overkill but they look awesome: http://massivevoodoo.blogspot.com/2011/01/tutorial-how-to-create-jungle-ambience.html I did find this also when looking for leaf litter: http://www.reapermini.com/Thecraft/24 Apparently birch tree seeds make great leaves. I love finding free materials outside.
wow at that first link. Thinking I might try and get hold of some of that. AUD$12 for each sheet is ok, but the AUD$16 for delivery to Aus is pretty rough. Oh nice! eBay does provide
Don't know how often you're in the city Mossy, but Toyworld on Queen St stocks some of the woodland scenics stuff. might be worth a look if you're in the area.
