I am going to start working on my Saurus Heroes soon and was wondering if there were any easy, go-to methods of making great weapons for Saurus Heroes that people have developed. These are what I have noticed from scouring the forums for a while:

    1) Use or modify the Chakax model
    2) Just call a spear or halberd a great weapon
    3) Attach 2-4 blades from a Saurus sprue to a bannerman pole and combine with the "below the grip" portion of a musician's hand with necessary wrist realignments.
    4) Steal a weapon from another army

I would like to stick to Lizardmen bitz if possible. Any other ideas?

You could purchase a bronze/copper rod of the approriate size and glue plasticard to it in order to make great weapons (that does get away from your lizardmen bits though).

I took a saurus spear, clipped the ends of of the hand weapons and glued it back together. I suppose its more halberdy but I don't think anyone would take issue with calling it a GW.
