Ok, so I've searched for this, but the search function discounted my search because the word "Stegadon" is too common. I guess you guys have been busy. :D

So, when buying plastic dinosaurs to turn into stegadon, it must fit on a 50x100mm base. Other than that, what other dimension should be taken into account? Does anyone have a picture of the official model standing next to normal troops so I can compare the distance. I haven't got any lizardmen models yet, so pics next to dwarfs or elves would be the best for me to compare easily. Otherwise, a measurement of its height would be good.

If this has been covered a thousand times before, a link to relevant discussions would be greatly appreciated. :)

While I don't have the measurements taken, I do have a picture that may help. If it doesn't, let me know and I'll take another one for you.

This picture displays and compares the sizes of the Ogre's Thundertusk, Lizardmen's Stegadon, Ogre's Mournfang Cavalry, Dark Elves Hero on Cold One, and a single Chaos Pit Fighter for Mordheim. My apologies for not having them all painted yet as I took this pic when I finished building the Ogre units.

    50mm x 100mm is aproximately 2 inches x 4 inches.

typicaly you can fit a 6 inch long dino in the 4 inch base
with his head and tail stcking past the front and back of the base.

Thanks Lord Cedric, that's a really useful pic. It's actually pretty big, which is good, 'cause finding small dinos is really hard.

n810: Thanks for your response, but I was more interested in the height of the model.
