My thought's exactly but models do look more pleasing on a round base, from a display point.
Not done much with diplomacy yet.
If I recall, Dwarfs, easy Empire, VC, Chaos, normal Greenskins, Hard
It's really good and they will release more factions they would be daft not too, Chaos look good.
I think I did the same but built too many units to quickly but I like killing greenskins :)
Just watch your economy I find Dwarfs a tad expensive, best solution I have found is raiding greenskin camps.
