Well, they just updated our army codex with the last FAQ drop. So they're supporting us as much as all the other legacy factions, so far at least.
The Lumbering rule specifically removes the 2 model requirement to be in Close Order (the rules do not say 2 models to get the +1, it says 2...
I'm still going to try it. I'm not sure how big a nerf it is, and I already ordered the models...:(
Well, there is already a rule that says the character is not part of the crew and can't use the same weapons they can. So I don't see how an FAQ...
See? It is exactly like I said. People who want the chief to fire the bow will continue to just ignore the rule that specifically says he cannot...
Unfortunately, the rules are very unclear on how this should work, and the FAQ is thoroughly unhelpful. There are also all kinds of weird rules...
I would like to add, Skink Chief's on stegadons not being able to get benefit from Enchanted Shields is very annoying.
The clarification of Drilled is arguably a buff to Cold One Riders (depending on how your community played it before). Also Monsoon going to 15"...
Bastiladon can no longer claim +1 CR from close order
You're right, that is a very big change. I am not at all sure what all the ramifications are. He has unit strength 5 now? Can disrupt ranks?...
Wow, it did change to a monstrous creature. I totally didn't notice that. I'm not even sure yet what all the ramifications are, but you're right...
Ok then, Lizardmen heroes aren't "wearing" any armor, so they count as models that "Wear No Armor" for that rule, and have a 7+ armor save. Or...
You can't be equipped with armor while not wearing armor. That's at least as silly as the FAQ itself.
I agree, pre-FAQ that was RAW. But now the FAQ says those models don't count as being equipped with armor. It doesn't say, "...when it comes to...
Monsoon was fixed on the final page, and now has range 15".
It is silly, I agree, and I don't think most anyone will play it that way. RAW though I think this does mean that lizardmen cannot take magic...
That's a war machine, the bow on the Stegadon is not a war machine. But the rules do already cover it.
They didn't fix the stegadon bow in the lizardman book, but they did add a general FAQ: Q: Some chariots are equipped with large scale missile...
The wizarding hat is in the official FAQ, saying it works with characters wearing armor and they can still cast spells.
