Hello everyone! Havent played my lizards since the end Times' but now im going to start AoS finnaly, all my models are transfred to round bases now and im getting very excited about AoS after the release of Generals handbook. I got a fair amount of models and im looking into 2 lists now, looks cool on paper but i wouldent know . List #1, 2000p 1 x Slann Starmaster 1 x Eternity Warden 2 x Bastilladon, solar Engine 20 x Saurus Guard 10 x skinks, javelin, shields 10 x skinks, javelin, shields 6 x terradons, bolas List #2, 2000p 1 x Slann Starmaster 1 x Eternity Warden 1 x Scarveteran on Carnosaur 1 x Engine of the Gods 20 x Saurus Guard 5 x cold one riders 5 x cold one riders 10 x Chameleon Skinks 3 x Rippers So what do you think? Peace
Have yet to play with AoS but knowing the abilities I prefer the second list. I would like to see a third group of cold one riders and then take the Eternal and Firelance starhosts personally or Bloodclaw but if you're bang on 2000 pts then that would be hard.
I also like the second list. It is far more aggressive, and has some clear synergies. The first list looks like it would have trouble against a lot of armies. You would have to be tight on your tactics with list one, whereas list two you can relax a bit.
Thanks guys apreciate the response! Been seeing alot of love for the Solar Engine Bastiladon on the forum, wich i understand, but how does the snake Bastiladon work out for you? Considering one of each
Tide of snakes works well, especially with dual bastiladons. it is definitely a support attack that weakens a lot of enemies. I have had great success using it in 3 player games.
If you want to use this list, you should tweak it. first of all, drop 5 guards in favor of a starpriest, to exploit the arcane vassal and further protect the guards and bastiladon with Starlight. then, I'd also drop some terradons: a group of 6 is large, keep 3 and pick 5 chama skinks; keep the terradons in range of the bastiladon, so everyone that wants to charge them will have to think on it.
