So as school winds down and I get more time for stuff I was thinking about running a 2000 point army based on saurus. I wanted to run this list by to see how good it would be Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Trait: Great Rememberer - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices Saurus Sunblood (120) Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (260) - Artefact: Blade of Realities Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (240) - Greatblade - Artefact: Coronal Shield Skink Starpriest (80) Skink Priest (80) - Priestly Trappings Battleline 40 x Saurus Warriors (360) - Spears 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) - Clubs 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) - Clubs Units 4 x Salamanders (160) 3 x Skink Handlers (40) Battalions Sunclaw Starhost (130) Fangs of Sotek (70) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 2 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 121 Notes: I chose salamanders over razordons as I fight a lot of heavily armored monsters and the occasional stormcast. The idea is that the warriors will be more than capable of dealing with the enemy infantry.
List looks awesome. FoS is always fun to run. Any particular reason you aren't using Realm Artifacts?
I actually should, and I probably should buy the book. Maybe a sword of judgment on the oldblood’s spear? Yeah that actually could work really nicely. Thanks for the advice, and while I don’t have all the warriors or salamanders I did run the numbers for various blocks of warriors.
Sword of Judgement will likley gain you more on the ScV Carno Spear as it has 6 attacks at damage 1 instead of 3 at D3. Doppelganger cloak is awesome on an Oldblood Carno.
Hmm, that actually would make sense. My only issue with the doppelgänger cloak is it’s a one time use, meaning I could do something where I jump a zombie dragon but then I would lose the element of surprise. I probably should test it out to see how it works.
If you plan your combat elections properly you can completely deny a round of enemy combat vs the bearer
That seems pretty potent, I think I will go ahead and try it Depending on my next game goes I will see how it does.
