Tomorrow is my 2000 point Escalation game vs Nighthaunt and I'm at a bit of a loss as to what list to bring. I know Nighthaunt nullifies all rend and that it's important to pick off their heroes, but beyond that I don't know what would be good against his as-of-yet undefeated army. Would anyone be able to offer their thoughts about a good list that I could bring with these units? Proxies are allowed where necessary! Engine of the Gods Sunblood Oldblood/ScV on Carno Skink Starpriest x2 ScV on Cold One Saurus Oldblood on foot Troglodon Bastilodon x2 3 Kroxigor (might have 6 total, depends on if I have time to build them before the game) 6 Ripperdactyls 15 Saurus Knights 10 Chameleon skinks 20 Saurus Warriors 30 Skinks 15 Saurus Guard Thanks in advance!
You could try this: Allegiance: Seraphon - Mortal Realm: Ulgu LEADERS: Skink Starpriest (80) - General - Command Trait : Master of Star Rituals - Artefact : Miasmatic Blade Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (260) - Artefact : Doppelganger Cloak Engine of the Gods (220) UNITS: 6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280) 10 x Chameleon Skinks (240) 10 x Skinks (60) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers BEHEMOTHS: Bastiladon (280) Bastiladon (280) BATTALIONS: Shadowstrike Starhost (180) TOTAL: 2000/2000 EXTRA COMMAND POINTS: 1 WOUNDS: 100 Not having a Slann means you will all your casualties more severely.
I'm going to get a Slann soon, just waiting for the next paycheck. Out of curiosity, what is your reason for bringing 3 units of 10 skinks as opposed to 1 unit of 30? And why the difference in weapon loadouts?
The javs are part of the battalion. They will be able to run forward with Stealthy Advance, thus making javs better than blowpipes. The other units are individual because you have to have 3 units of battleline in your army at 2k mpp.
