Hi All, New to this forum, just looking for some advice, comments and criticism on an army list. Been struggling against my friend who plays Ironjawz or High Aelves, and have come up with this. Is this a solid list? Would I be better losing one unit of chameleon skinks and taking a spellcaster instead? It's currently bang on 2000pts Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Saurus Eternity Warden Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur - General - War Spear Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One Battleline 10 x Saurus Guard - Seraphon Battleline 10 x Saurus Guard - Seraphon Battleline 10 x Saurus Guard - Seraphon Battleline Units 5 x Chameleon Skinks 5 x Chameleon Skinks 2 x Salamanders 2 x Razordons 3 x Skink Handlers Behemoths Bastiladon Battalions Eternal Starhost
Welcome aboard! I would drop 5 guard for a skink starpriest before dropping the chameleons. Then I would drop the sallies, razors and handlers for rippers and a shadowstrike. You'll be far more dangerous with more board control. And 1 lottle blot toad gives a lot of control. That and they will shred the hero of your choice. Or the Maw-Krusha with the help of chameleons. The rest relies on you holding your ground. But having assassins will help out the eternal greatly.
Thanks for the advice Bowser, dropping some guard for a spellcaster does make a lot more sense. I like your idea of taking rippers and a shadowstrike. I just worry losing that much ranged output for a single unit might backfire, but you're right, being able to drop the rippers in wherever you like is an incredibly powerful ability!
Having the chameleons and rippers goves you mobility and enough distraction to set up the eternal to be completely devastating.
Or if you really don't want to make friends take a priest with priestly trappings, on a 4+ your battalion could have 2 up saves with re-rolls ignoring -1 rend.....
