I'm basing this list largely on what I have available. Would love some feedback on whether it's viable? I'm most likely to face beasts of chaos, slaanesh, Ogors and cities of sigmar (in that order of frequency). I realise an astrolith bearer is sorely needed. Is a Bastiladon reliable enough without one? What should I be using to boost it? I also wonder about switching the Stegadon for an EOTG, but it's more costly to summon and might help with getting an important (SKINK) charge...? I like it. Be careful with your Ripperdactyls in the heavens. Make sure you place a screen near them in case you fail the 9" charge. They have a 14" movement base. So with most battleplans you will be able to get closer with your base movement than deepstriking them.
Thanks! That was more to protect one unit and keep it as a threat to back lines. I’ve found rippers to be almost as effective psychologically as in real terms! Any thoughts on whether the bastiladon and stegadon are optimal? Without the astrolith bearer they tend to be (literally) hit and miss...
I don't like taking Bastiladons without rerolling to hits. They are still decent units though. Sorta how the SCE Ballista is great, but I never take them without a Lord Ordinator.
